No, I'm not a cadbury, the opposite in fact, 10 standard drinks and I'm barely buzzed, especially when I'm doing the no no and wanting to just get drunk, I was hoping my alcohol tolerance had gone down more than this. :(

I hate those noobs who will drink like 2 drinks and then act like they just did a sheet of acid or something. "OH MAN I'M SO DRUNK! LOOK! THERE'S DINOSAURS OVER THERE! OH MY GOD!"

My alcohol tolerance is incredibly high, due to me being a large framed woman who's also tall. It takes me at least ten drinks before I'm pissed, and more than that to be paraletic. Hence my habit of downing shots so that I can catch up with friends. -.-

Despite what my user name would suggest, two drinks back to back usually do me in. I'm not tall and I have a slender build.
I'm not a drinking "noob", either. I'm a regular drinker. I have a glass of wine with dinner every day, and then often another an hour or two later if I'm watching TV. But I can't have more than that, and I have to pace myself, because I don't like to be drunk.
I threw a party this past weekend and really cut loose. I had 3 drinks and was absolutely sloshed. :o

I will admit I am a lite-weight, but the plus side is I sober up fast. I will get a buzz off of one glass of wine. If I have two I will be classified as drunk.

I am throwing up drunk after about 4 glasses of wine. I am absolutely a cheap date. But then, I'm a pretty short girl with no addiction history, so it's not unexpected.
Im a fairly light weight, two drinks and Im pretty buzzed.
Three drinks and Im set for the entire night.
four drinks or more I either throw up or fall asleep.

How much does size really have to do with it? I'm 5' 10" and over 250 lbs, but I'm a "lightweight" when it comes to alcohol. Two beers for a little buzz, three to five to get me schnockered.

Norton, there's a whole host of factors that can affect drinking and how fast you sober up. I can't say, I'm not a noobie per se, I just don't get absolutely plastered. Most I've had has been around nearly 3 standard drinks and I was more sleepy than anything. (My friends found it rather funny that I fell asleep after 2 drinks the first time I had anything)
But I generally alternate one alcoholic drink, one non-alcoholic drink, and I usually have food before and after I drink...

I get a buzz off a wine cooler.
What category does that put me?

A category all of your own. :p
To get falling down or puking drunk (which has only ever happened once) I would go through something like 30+ standard drinks in a night, at least when I was drinking regularly, you know those big jug type bottles of Captain Morgan (Mmm, nummy nums) I have been known to drink a full one of them in a nights bender.
Of course now that I'm back in Australia alcohol is just too damn expensive to do that. :(

I also don't get hangovers; nearly thirty and never had one in my life. I think that's more to do with the fact that I only ever drink clear spirits when I go out, not beer wine or whiskey.

My preferred drink is whiskey, and I rarely get hangovers from it. I've tried clear liquors, but never really come across any I liked. I don't care for vodka, gin is ICKY, white rum is okay, I guess.
People look at me funny because I always drink mixed drinks, usually a dark cola and whiskey or a whiskey sour...occasionally a margarita. I don't like beer and wine makes me sleepy, so...yeah. I usually order single, tall, so that I don't get sloshed before dinner's over, though.

Anymore drinking out costs so much, we just drink at home. And curse my roommate, she makes some damn good drinks that get me absolutely plastered.
Heh. I think all of us spent New Years Day going, "never again. Oh god. Shoot me now" :p

I have a fairly low alcohol tolerance. The most I can remember drinking was 5 drinks in a row and boy was I hammered. Other than that usually 1 or 2 drinks and I'm out like a light. :o

Count me in as another who gets a buzz from a wine cooler. I'm sure the fact that I rarely drink doesn't help any with my alcohol tolerance or lack thereof. I got drunk once when I was a teenager, decided I didn't like the results, and was a lot more careful after that. (Long story short, I was in Germany at the time so I was legal, but it was still stupid on my part.)

I haven't done much drinkies in a while... other than at a friend's 30th a couple of months ago. But when I did drink (out), I'd get raised eyes from not having the same drink twice in a row (spirits, of course). Still never had a real hangover.. worst I had was feeling like crap from bugger all sleep, and having to get up early (ie, no headaches or sickness, etc). It was that morning I found my 'hangover' cure... grapefruit juice and pate. (we had a cocktail party the night/morning before). Grapefruit juice is loaded with Vit C and other nice stuff, pate is full of B group vitamins!
I like my body, in that it will say "Ok, let's empty the stomach now".. done.. ok, we can drink again :)
But I don't like getting drunk now... I'm a control freak :D

I once had a mega night out on Aftershock, alcopops and Absinthe.
Yup, still alive... and no hangover the next morning. Just weird, psychadelic Yellow Submarine-esq dreams from the green stuff. O.o Stay away from triple A nights!

I also have never had a hangover. Then again, I drink absurd amounts of water and diet sodas even on nights I ingest alcohols. Since most of a hangover is actually dehydration...
I have a very high tolerance. It once took an entire bottle of vodka and two wine coolers to get me buzzed. To make matters weirder, my brother said that I had a GREATER grasp of the social situation and sounded smarter than normal.

I've actually gotten so drunk that I've puked. It's happened 2 times.
The first time was in college and I was drinking with my now ex-bf and some of this friends. I started off with a whole bottle of something I can't remember now but it was sweet and tasted good, then I had a can of "beast" some sort of cheap beer, and a shot of Jack Daniels Whiskey. Let me tell you ... I was siiiiick!
The second time was 6 years ago, I'd just stopped breastfeeding. I hadn't had any alcohol in over a year & I was at a party with Mr. Rum's friends. I got sloshed. I was wearing a blond wig (I was dressed as Dolly Parton 'cos it was a Halloween party) and Mr. Rum actually held my hair while I puked at home. :p

actually held my hair while I puked at home. I've had someone do that for me :D

I've done it a couple of times, but I always keep my hair back, so I don't need someone to do it for me.

I've never gotten drunk. Ever. Last time I drank at a party, I had 4 mixed drinks, numerous jager shots, and 7 smirnoffs, and I was buzzed and I lost a bit of equalibrium, but it wasn't any different than if I lock my knees and try to stand up (I have terrible knees).
But, of course, that same night a friend went into seizure, and I had to play EMT, since I was the only person there with any medical training. Sobered me up quick. haha
But I hate having a large tolerance. I WANT to be a cheap drunk, maybe 3-4 drinks. I've never felt a loss of inhibition, or a loss of motor skills, other than my stutter being more pronounced.

I have, but it took me an entire 24 hours solid drinking to get there. -.-
