... Seriously.
Calm down everyone. I know this is a debate board but *damn*.
Take a breather.
Have a cookie.
And if you can't handle a discussion without freaking the fuck out, consider stepping away from the computer before you give yourself a coronary. Personally I suck at straight up debate, which is why I pretty much stick to lurking.
And now, I'm off to have that cookie. :p

Some of the topics that come up here are ones that some people feel passionate about, and therefore they occasionally let their emotions get the better of them. I think everyone who participates here has probably flown off the handle at one point or another. Granted, some people fly farther off that handle than others do.

I think I already know too, and that's pretty good for me since I don't easily pick up on hints ;)

The other thing though is seeing this is the net and there's no real emotion in a post that sometimes a person's wording makes them see like they're off the handle when in reality they're not so much :D
I know on a few topics (none here yet) I've been told I hope I didn't upset you or relax, and in all honesty it never actually bothered me at all. It's just the wording I've used made it appear that way.
So I think it's another thing to consider.

Not saying this happens here, but you mustn't forget trolling goes on when people deliberately post something that's going to get people angry. In which case, the troll is in the wrong, not the people getting angry... altho, they'd be far better off PMing a mod in order to get the troll dealt with.
Don't feed the troll! XD

Or with sarcasm. It's often hard to tell if someone is being sarcastic or not online.
Personally, if someone posts something that makes me a little angry or frustrated, I don't immediately reply. I wait and collect my thoughts; if it's something juvenile or just insults, I don't even dignify it with a response.

I'm sure there's a thread on 'hints'.... and how they're usually ineffective.
And I'm a guy.. I need a brick!
Can someone please throw me one?
:D
