What are your thoughts on this? Long story short, a hotel in Sweden has been providing complimentary sex toys similar to a minibar or complimentary chocolates etc.
Your thoughts?
(as for mine, my only thought is-"I hope they're single-use...."

That was my thought, to be honest. Otherwise... ew.
I also am thinking that the prude brigade would horribly offended by this, so there could even end up with a whole lot of trouble if the wrong couple is offered these sex toys.

I'd love an explanation of just why the police are assuming this has anything to do with prostitution.

I think I'll go to Sweden for my next vacation instead of Florida, I see nothing wrong with this like it said in the comments some people have an issue with finding a bible in their room.

Yeah, my only concern would be hygiene. Otherwise, hey, they are providing a service that people are willing to pay for.

That's just gross. I would hope to Pearl that they are one time use only.
But then again, toys are not my thing. I had one bought for me, but it didn't really do much more than my hand could do. My hand may not pulsate a zillion times a minute, but it doesn't need batteries and doesn't make noise.

I can only sympathize. I love my rabbit and would hate to go back to..well..manual. At least until the Fiance gets a job up here.

My rabbit doesn't make that much noise; just a low hum. And my hand gets tired, personally... XD
I have to admit that if I found a bible in my hotel room, I'd be very tempted to tear it up. I'd find that a bit offensive, far more so than if I found a vibrator.

I don't get the issue. It's a service they are offering to people. If people don't want it, no one is forcing them to use it. If it bothers them that much, they can find another place to stay.

Prudes.
Don't like it? Don't use it.
Nothing to whine about.

It even said in the article that they take them out of the room if a family with kids is staying there.
I also agree that finding a Bible in a hotel room is more offensive than a toy.

That's good. If I were a parent, I don't think I'd want to be forced into a conversation like that with my child while on vacation. You'd be completely unprepared if your child found a vibrator and wanted to know what it was for. No one wants to spend their day at the beach answering questions from a five year-old about vaginas.
I think it would be unreasonable for an adult to get offended by these items, just as I think it's unreasonable for someone to get offended by the mere existence of a bible in a hotel room.

The handcuffs sound appealing to me....dunno about SO. Besides that I don't see how that would "glorify prostitution" at all to be honest.

If the GF and I are in Sweden I think we're going to look this place up.

Most hotel rooms have one, usually in the drawer of the nightstand. Most people don't open that drawer, and if the mere presence of a book you don't like offends you that greatly then that would probably be the best course of action to follow.

Maybe where you are, but over here, we don't generally find bibles in hotel rooms, just tea and coffee making facilities.

It's off-topic, but I just have to ask, why are they called "rabbits"?

I'm not sure. Maybe because they look like this: http://store.babeland.com/vibrators-rabbit-style/sexy-bunny-rabbit-vibrator
The only problem I could see was if they weren't single-use as even with sterilization/cleaning, that would be SO gross. Otherwise...hey, toys can be fun. :p I do think it's cool that they take the sex toys out if there are children staying there, but on the other hand, that doesn't mean their parent might not want one lol...although they should probably have their own if...*ahem*

Because it's basically a dong with a clitoris stimulator. The clitoris stimulator resembles rabbit ears hence the name.

I kinda object to this, strictly speaking from a hygienic viewpoint. After all, I think some STD's are resistant to any kind of sterilization that wouldn't destroy these toys, correct?

Unless they're one-use only, in which case sterilization after use is a non issue.

If they are single use or you can take them home then shouldn't be problem with hygiene. I doubt anyone would be interested in a used "device".
The only issue is that I won't be able visit Sweden for a long time.
