Hmm, dubious hysteria reporting aside (as is so prevelant in the NOTW) he has served his prison sentence and will be signing the Sex Offenders Resister when he returns, I have no idea what MAPPA rating he will receive however Gadd (his real name) will be monitored even if only to ensure his safety.

Nothing should be done to him that wouldn't be done to any other sex offender after serving their sentence. It sucks that they may have been tricked into taking money, but that's what happened. He's been sentenced one. Can't take him back to court for the same thing again.

He was sentenced for molestation, not rape. He was punished for the act of kissing and touching the girls, not penetrating them. Doesn't that fit under double jeopardy?

I think the Vietnamese government should charge him with harassment and concealment of a crime, as well as the police officers involved. But I don't see that happening.

I feel let down after I defended him when all he did was look at pictures.

I'm not sure how the sex offender laws work in the UK, but do you think he might be on house arrest after his return from Vietnam? Gadd has been banned from not only Vietnam, but also Cambodia, Hong Kong and IIRC Indonesia. I think he needs some therapy or chemical castration.

No, he won't be.

There are options of electronically tagging people on early release schemes within the UK however as it was not a UK court nor a UK prison that option will not be available.
