"Hastings veterinarian Sharon Marshall said it was uncommon, but not unheard of, for one species to provide milk to another."
Hahahahahahahaha. I guess the dairy industry hasn't reached New Zealand yet.

Wait, so the dog is named Honey Boy, and the kid is named Honey? Mind is blown.

Heh, I missed that bit when I first read the article. XD
Still is weird tho; dogs have teeth. O.o Shouldn't she be worried about putting her boobs near a dog's mouth? And what happens when the dog is grown up? That's going to be one fucked up dog.

so do humans staring at around 4-6 months-my son was breastfed until age 2-if you bite the milk stops, a 4 month old human learns that pretty quickly

Are the squirrels raised by dogs or cats "f-ed up"?

Squirrels and dogs and cats are all animals. Yes, humans are animals, but we're sentinent beings; dogs, cats and squirrels are not. It's different, you can't possibly think it's not unless you're seriously deluded.
I'm not about to turn around and say that I don't think it's weird, cuz I do. However, she's an adult and can do what she damn well likes, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. However, if that dog thinks that the thing to do with breasts is to latch on to them, she'd better not take him anywhere near the beach. The very fact that she named the dog and child similar sounding names shows that she's not quite all there, to my mind.

It means she cares for her pets like children. That is not a sign of anything wrong at all.
Second, humans are sapient. Sentient means able to detect and respond to stimuli which all animals do.
Sapience normally is defined as self awareness which is isn't that uncommon among the more complex of mammals and birds. Calling me deluded for not being grossly anthropocentric as you are is somewhat rude and juvenile. Others opinions of reality are often just as valid.

I hate it when another wierdo tries to get their 15 minutes of fame from NZ... it makes me cringe!
sadly I do believe dairy or dairy products are the 3rd biggest export from NZ after lamb and fruit
I know that Fonterra NZ's biggest "company" was my companys star client and our ceo was their ceo's bitch
