  • ANOTHER 911 "chicken nugget" call...

I still don't get it. Why call 911 because your nuggets aren't cooked fast enough?

People calling 911 over chicken nuggets/fast food happens way more frequently than it should...

Basically, officers had them give the woman her money back (no nuggets, though) and told her to be on her way.

I'm a bit surprised they didn't charge her with misuse of 911. They could have.

Basically, because there aren't THAT many cases of 911 abuse, and they would rather people call if they might need 911 than not call, and it turn out they were needed (it's more for ambulance crews than police, but still. The sooner an ambulance is called, the better the potential outcome.

edit- and if an officer actually responded, it was probably a slow day anyway.

      Sure, I get your point.

But at the same time, there's a difference between, "Well, it turns out we really didn't need 911/emergency services" and "Hello, 911? McDonald's is taking too long to cook my chicken nuggets!!"
