People who, every time they leave a voicemail, are incapable of keeping it under 2 or 3 minutes long.

Especially when it's the SAME people that call. And it's AlWAYS when I'm at work.

People have been instructed to ONLY call my cell when I'm working if important, or text and I'll respond when it's slow.

Gripes my ass. Not to mention, I work in a call center so people know that talking in my free time is my LEAST favorite thing to do.

    New one:

When using revolving doors or the tall exit-only vertical turnstiles in subway stations, people who feel the need to spin the damn thing as hard as they can when walking off. It's not too bad if it's a true revolving door as the flat surface is easy enough to stop with a hand or foot, but I'm not putting an appendage in a madly whirling steel fixture.

Said portals, along with escalators, are NOT meeting places. Get the hell out of the way!

My roommate was like the opposite of that. even in the coldest maine winter he slept with only a thin sheet, and insisted the heat be cranked up to about 80, and me with only a big heavy quilt because i liked sleeping in the cold.

My stepfather was the same way, even when he (and later we) had birds in the house. Birds that were used to fairly warm climates. If even the cat is curled up under my blanket it's too cold. Mom used to tell him that whatever money he thought we were saving in heating was being spent on warmer clothes/blankets.

    More from today:

Cyclists/joggers who come from behind, make no effort whatsoever to let you know they're there (I remember when they used to yell "on your left/right!" and isn't that what bike bells are for?), and then get pissed at me as they shove me aside. Scuse me? You can be mad if I knew you were coming and got in your way anyway. If I don't know you were there you have nothing to bitch about. Somewhat related are those who are coming head-on, know I know they're there, and want to play chicken (mirroring any move I make to get out of the way). *note: I have nothing against the above groups in general, just the ones that think they own the paths*

S-l-o-w pedestrians who suddenly decide to match my speed when I try to pass them...so they are now walking both slow enough and fast enough that I cannot pass them. Typically this ends in a near-collision with another walker/jogger who then screams at me for not looking where I'm going.

Cyclists who think they own the sidewalk (which you're not supposed to be on anyway ya idjit).

My former roomie was the same way, Admin. Except he was just being cheap, it's a long story....he moved in with his girlfriend but kept himself on our lease "just in case" and when they'd fight and he'd come home, ooooh boy would he be just a prick.

It was almost like living at home with the parents again. Dad's rule is the thermostat cannot go above 65 degrees, and when it's warm out, it has to be over 85 degrees before we can turn the A/C on. Sometimes if he thinks no one is watching, he'll even turn it off.

My roomie would come home, after weeks of not being home, it'd be the middle of winter, he'd see the heat was at like 70 or so, and he'd WAKE ME UP (cardinal sin, you never awake a sleeping 3rd shifter!) just to bitch at me for running up the electric bill, and that it cannot be that high, ever! And if I ever had the A/C on, I had to turn it off before he came home (or if I heard his truck coming I'd have to rush to turn it off before he got inside) because he'd throw a tantrum over it.

On the flip side of that, I don't understand folks who won't turn on the heat or keep it very low during the winter. I had a roomie who would throw fits if I set the thermostat over 60 F. I'm sorry, but when I'm indoors, in my house, I want to be comfortable. I don't want to have to walk around with my coat on inside. (She also thought we should turn the heat completely off when we weren't home, I had to explain to her why our landlords wouldn't be keen on that.)

This winter, living by myself, I kept the heat on as much as I liked and it was glorious. Of course, living in a place where gas is much, much cheaper helps, too.

I have some weird internal thermostat which means if it's below 80 and the AC is on, I get cold (unless it's in the subway, the body heat given off by the 4,856 other people in the car evens things out). I don't get people who blast the AC at sixty freaking degrees. 60 isn't hot unless you live in Siberia the rest of the year.

The asshole who decided it's necessary to BLAST the air conditioning in my office. According to weather.com, it's currently 56F outside with a high of 68F. WHY in the world do we need air conditioning? I'd rather be sweating balls. Instead I'm sitting here freezing my ass off, wearing my hoodie and looking very unprofessional because I sit directly under the vent the air conditioning comes out of.

Yes. Irritates my riding instructor to no end!

She has also gotten out of the truck and berated people who stepped out into the middle of the road to cross the street in front of her (not at a stop sign or signal- like, literally just stepped into the street to cross without looking!)

It's too bad there weren't more considerate smokers. Half the reason we're being banished is because of the rude and a$$hole smokers.

    I hate rude smokers.

People who, ANYTIME a smoking issue is raised, will point out how bad smoking is for you. Bonus points if they go off on a tangent about how shitty and inconsiderate ALL smokers are.

Yes, I fucking *know* smoking is bad for me, however, I was simply complaining that I couldn't find my lighter. I wasn't asking for an invitation to tell me something I already know.

I am also a considerate smoker, so STFU.

*People who assume that, because my husband is from another country(it's sort of obvious when he speaks-slight accent, and also when you see his name or he says it; very Scandinavian), he must be stupid and/or not speak English and therefore they have to talk realllly slooow and draw out their sentences. Uh, some of those European countries, if not most of them, start teaching children English when they're really young. My husband probably speaks English better than you do. I know he speaks it better than me, so chances are, he speaks English better than you, as well.

*People who think that because I'm in a wheelchair, I'm stupid, or mentally deficient or something. No, just... No. Double that when they hear the Southern accent. No, still not dumb, but please, keep talking down to me while I fumble with the joystick on my chair.

*People who assume that because I'm female, They need to ask for someone else's help in the electronics dept. where I work. Uh, hi, I'm the unofficial department head, soon to be official whenever my damn supervisor gets the paperwork in. I know my shit. I. Can. Heeeelllp. Yooooou.

These are the top 3. There's probably more, but these are the ones that piss me off the most.
