People in Pennsylvania (only place I've heard it) that add the words "awhile" or "yet" to sentences that have NOTHING to do with time. Those two words have to deal with time. So if the sentence doesn't involve time, why the hell do you guys keep adding it?
How about stores (typically in malls) with the mens bathroom all the way in one corner and the womans all the way in the other. Why oh why can't they just put them next to each other, side by side? What do they think I'm going to do, stop and look at something on my way to the bathroom? Hell no!
My bf used to constantly do this to me. I'd get ready and call him, or he'd get anxious and call ME, irate that it took so long for me to get ready and "Get over here NOW!" or "HURRY UP ALREADY!"
So I would. In fact, the next weekend, I'd make a better effort to wake up on time and get ready in great time......and when I got to his place to pick him up, he was still in his boxer shorts, not dressed, face full of shaving cream and brushing his teeth. Fucking asshole.
Then I found out he was doing it on purpose just to piss me off just to prove a point that I made him wait too long. Because when he'd be taking HIS sweet time getting ready, I'd have to sit and wait for him, talking to his parents or entertaining the dog.....he wouldn't get ready while I was getting ready at home.
He doesn't do that anymore. I really, really laid into him about that, especially when I found out he was doing it on purpose. Plus, after several times of us walking into a movie just a few minutes late into the opening scene/credits, there was one movie that he REALLY wanted to see that despite us getting there in time, it was so busy that we had to sit right up by the front row, and that made him irate. He must have realized he was only hurting himself doing that.
* It starts to rain as soon as I leave for work... and stops when I get there. It's like the weather has a personal vendetta against me and my motorbike.
* Some git drives thru a puddle and splashes me.
* I want to sit down, but all the benches are occupied by parents and young children. I'm sure that the old lady over there has similar feelings of murderous rage, but is more entitled to them than me.
* My sink is full of dirty dishes and cutlery, and I know I have to start on the washing up today due to the fact that I've run out of clean crockery and cutlery.
* I go to buy new bras, and take forever doing so, due to the fact that the store only seems to stock bras for tiny, small breasted women.
* When I'm sitting having my break and reading my book; and people feel the need to come up to me and talk.
* When the flat is a mess and there's no-one to tidy it cept me, so I know what I'm going to spend my precious day off doing.
From what I've been able to garner about plastics, there's quite the cost jump indeed from simple ABS to even the most rudimentary strengthened plastic. A more cost-efficient solution would be to use the same type more liberally and take a hint from simpler, sturdier designs for the 'thumbhole holding bit'.
- When people don't put the dvd back in the case when they are done watching it.
Ohhh, yes! And the discs get scratched to hell. It's a terrible problem with rentals and used CDs or DVDs.
A related gripe: the brittle, easily broken plastic so many CD and DVD cases are made with. And it's always on expensive ones like BBC videos, too. Half the time, the DVD arrives loose and possibly scratched because the inside holder is shattered. Seriously, does it cost that much more to use a sturdier plastic that'll actually, you know, hold the disc in? Even the "green" cardboard holders are better!
Mr. Boozy takes it to a whole new level of annoying. He removes the disc and sets it directly on top of the case. Not in the case. Just on top. Drives me nuts.
That's happened before too.
Oh another thing I hate. When I was younger, my mom would tell me to hurry up and get ready. I would hurry up. Then I would go let her know I was ready, but she wasn't even close to done! That drove me up a wall. So there I was, sitting on the couch with my shoes on, waiting for her to get done.
People who don't use spell checker. It is getting quite annoying to see people leave out letters on purpose or misspell simple words. I mean, your spell checker must be going haywire.
- When people don't put the dvd back in the case when they are done watching it. Oooo this get me going. No, it doesn't stay in the dvd player. No, the disc doesn't go on top of the dvd player. No, don't put the dvd in the case and let the case sit on the dvd player. Put it back where it belongs with the other dvds! My mom and sister are notorious for doing all of the above.
Amen, sister!

- When people HAVE to put their backpacks on a chair in class. The floor is carpeted, your majesty. Put it on the floor, especially because this class is pretty crowded. Oh no! You actually have to sit by people?! The horror! I don't smell bad. I shower every morning, brush, floss, and mouthwash, deodorant, and a bit of body spray. I do my laundry every week. Jeez. I don't have a medical condition where I smell bad no matter what I do.
- People who think I am weird and/or wasting time by being organized and neat. First off, I like to keep clean. Big deal. Second, how am I wasting time? In my dorm, cleaning takes like 10 minutes a day because I pick up, make my bed, do my dishes, and febreeze the curtains, floor, and my bed. Ten minutes out of 24 hours versus some people I know, who clean their dorms once a month and it takes them a whole day because their crap piles up. Oh every few days, I have to take out the recycling and once a week, I have to take out the trash. Big deal. At least I can find my stuff when I need it and not have to wade through piles upon piles of crap to get to it.
Today, for me, it's when people come into my part of the church office and start talking to me when I'm on the phone. I do realize that because of the way my desk is positioned, it IS hard to see that I'm on the phone, but still it gets annoying. (and it's not just visitors coming in who do this, I've gotten it from people doing stuff in the building)
