Let's see, you're comparing the reading of about a dozen posts that are static, unchanging and rarely have any additional comments made to the reading of, what, a couple of hundred posts, per day, and thinking that this is somehow equal?

The very thought is delusional, at best.

I think it's worth asking at this point if you're talking about this board, CS, or some place I don't run. Which?

Remember - Ignorance is no excuse.
So the part you (normally) have to check stating you have read the TOS is something you're willing to lie about? I can promise you, if I was running a board, it would not be an optional thing, but required during registration. If you don't care what the rules are, or feel they would apply to you...Honestly, I'd not want you on any board I was running. *shrugs* That being said, if the rules aren't being applied equally, it's something that needs to be brought up to the mods.

Message boards are *not* equal playing fields, though, and if you can't follow the rules, no matter what they are, the people running it are justified in booting you. Another board I am on had a member who flat out stated he was not going to follow the rules...and was honestly shocked when the mods shrugged and banned him. If you get in trouble for something that another person 'got away with', ask them why, politely, and reference the other post...if it's a well run board, they will thank you for bringing the other post to their attention, and let the other person know they screwed up as well.

As far as cursing being good/bad/indifferent...IMO, they are words, and like any words, they have their uses...and are 'bad' when used improperly. The main 'use' for cursing is to let others know you are displeased about something, and how unhappy you are. If you're using them properly, they can be very effective...if not, they tend to reduce the respect you're being given by others.

On what planet? Maybe in your own mind...but unless you're putting up the cash for a 'board, nobody has any 'rights' here. Sure, you're allowed to post, but you can only do so on the whims of the 'board owner. Don't like it? There are plenty of other boards, or you could even *gasp* start your own.

By definition, punishing me and not someone else for the same thing is screwing with me.
How do you know that we're *not* punishing someone else? There's quite a bit of "behind the scenes" stuff, both here, and at CS. And no, we do not share what goes on with other members. Oh, and trust me...if we wanted to screw with you, we have ways of doing that too.

And actively trying to find a loophole or get around rules someone has set up isn't being a dick or screwing with them how?

I have to say right now you sound like some of my worst customers.

"Why is it my responsibility to read all that mail you send me like my bill. Why isn't it your responsibility to do whatever it takes to make sure that every single individual is aware they owe you money. Why aren't you going door to door?"

Yes it is your responsibility. If you don't like how the forum is run or the company does business then leave the forum or do business with another company.

If you don't like how your being treated then walk away. Your right you have the right to not be treated badly. People also have the right to treat you badly. Not that I think they are.

You have a very negative outlook and are close to a tinfoil hat. If something doesn't go your way or hurts you in some way your convinced it was a plot to hurt you.

This is a dangerous way to live. 99.9% of the people on this planet do not care about you, me, or any of the other multitudes that they do not know. There will be policies that are enacted that were done so usually for good reason that helped others but hurt me.

It happens you can't please everyone all the time. As has been said if you really feel that your seeing violations that your getting called out and others don't then you can like said do one of two things.

    1) Leave the forums if you don't like what you perceive as unfairness and don't think it will change leaving would be healthier for you than whining.

    2) Point it out bring attention to it.

Last I checked the mods do not get paid to monitor this particular forum nor in most forums. As such mods have day jobs, personal lives etc. If someone is repeatedly brought to their attention they will pay extra close attention to that person because it's efficient.

The solution to being singled out? Stop doing what you get singled out for.

Don't complain that the rules aren't fairly enforced in your perspective and instead follow the rules. If you don't like the rules, follow the rules and work towards being in a position where your one of the ones that makes the rules and then alter the rules.

It's simple. If you still don't get it watch the movie SLC Punk and pay close attention to Matthew Lilliard's speech at the end.

I don't know where you think that right comes from. Like I said, you're playing in their backyard. They can do whatever the hell they want. No one cares what rights you make up for yourself. The mods on THIS forum do try to be fair and nice, but they are under no obligation to do so at all. You do not deserve anything from them.

The only entitlement I have is that to be treated fairly. That means receiving the same punishments as all others. Not special ones for me to make an example.

And I'm convinced I'm right because I AM right. I haven't closed my mind to other possibilities, but I am merely using the same arguments used on ME when I am in trouble for something, whether it's being grounded by parents, fired from job or suspended on an internet forum.

The fact that people are so unwilling to accept their own arguments being used on them shows how full of shit they really are.
