These are not arranged marriages these are where the girl is forced against her will into marriage-one story of a woman who had her grandmother tie her up so the marriage could be consummated.

They're using girls to settle debts and secure visas.

I think I remember reading something like this.

Do those people seriously not get that if you come into another country, you follow their laws????

No, they don't seem to. It's something France and other European countries have had to come to grips with more and more.

Apparaently it's happened in Australia too.

It's funny really....we try and be this huge melting pot of cultures (in other words, we don't give a second look to someone if they're wearing a hijab), but whenever a controversial argument comes up, people start yelling that those who come to Australia need to speak English and look like Australians....
