10-year-old girl tries to sell "Moaning Grandma" on E-bay (http://www.switched.com/2009/09/30/10-year-old-girl-tries-to-sell-moaning-grandma-on-ebay/?icid=main|aimzones|dl5|link5|http%3A%2F%2Fwww.swi tched.com%2F2009%2F09%2F30%2F10-year-old-girl-tries-to-sell-moaning-grandma-on-ebay%2F)

27 people bid on Grandma before E-bay took down the sale as no human is allowed to be sold on the auction site.

I'm not sure what she meant by "moaning". Was it because Grandma complained too much about being old/bored/etc.? Then the 10-year-old should have done something her!

I lost both my grandmas in 1997 and 2000 respectfully. I'd give anything to have them back in my life and then I read an article about a kid trying to get rid of hers? I'd have bid on the little old lady too!

Meh, she's 10. She's far too young to appreciate the fragility and pricelessness of her loved ones. Her naivete is a good thing. She has her whole life to realize that loss is inevitable and she should appreciate what she has while she can.

As a 10 year old, I don't think she truely comprehended what she was doing in this case. She's a kid, we all were, and we all said and did crazy things (threatening to run away and join the circus, anyone?).

I'd be more concerned about what kid of examples the parents are setting for her though. How does a 10 year old get on the computer and make a listing for EBAY to take down if the parents were paying attention?

Oh come on. She's just like the stereotypical kid that tries to sell their little brother or sister.

I tried to sell my little brother when I was a kid; but no-one would buy him. -.-
