Oklahoma Conservatives, Lawmakers plot anti-federal militia. (http://rawstory.com/rs/2010/0412/oklahomas-rightwing-lawmakers-aim-create-antifederal-militia/)
Okay, the US is officially going to self destruct sooner than later.
What is so offensive about the current party that it's warranting armed resistance? The idea that he's not simply trying to stay in power and actually trying to implement new policies that improve the quality of life?
Pardon me, there's a wall with my name on it that's just begging to meet my forehead enough times that I'll go unconscious.

I don't know WTF is going on in Oklahoma, specifically. They've recently been fighting the federal hate crime law (aka the Matthew Shepard Act) to ridiculous degrees: http://www.edgeboston.com/index.php?ch=news&sc=&sc2=news&sc3=&id=103986
What are they smoking down there?

"Lawmakers," no less. Seems like we've tried state-vs-fed armed conflict before, around 150 years ago or so, and it wasn't something to repeat. Maybe it would help if I understood what they're so upset over? Surely, SURELY it can't be just the hate crimes law!
Certainly puts things into perspective. Last night I was all angry over a mailer from our congressman, Paul Broun. Said "let me know what I can do for you," as if any of the things I'd like him to do are among those he ever would... but so far as I know, no politician in or from Georgia is suggesting that the different levels of our government should take up arms against each other!

Key word in that link is "conservative". He's not implementing policies that they want.

True, but that's nothing new. I'm just trying to figure out what makes the current administration in particular so evil to these people that they are willing to start another civil war over it.

Well, the people hating the government this cycle 'round have guns. Apparently all the Bush administration haters had were guitars. . .which apparently don't actually kill anyone. Who knew?

Oh there were anti-Bushers with weapons, of that you can be assured, just weren't that many. 'Course all it takes is the one, Kennedy learned that the hard way:o
