Rep. Dennis Kucinich sues a restaurant over an olive pit in a sandwich (http://www.aolnews.com/2011/01/26/dennis-kucinich-sues-restaurant-over-olive-pit-in-sandwich/?icid=maing%7Caim%7Cdl3%7Csec3_lnk3%7C39431)

Rep. Dennis Kucinich bit into a sandwich at Longworth Cafeteria at the House office building. When he bit into the sandwich, he also bit into an olive that had a pit in it. He is suing Restaurant Associates (who runs the cafeteria) and Compass Group USA (who is the parent company).

The olive has caused Kucinich to require multiple surgical and dental procedures, the suit says.

Is this frivolous? Should he be suing? According to the article, he bit into the sandwich in 2008.

I'm pretty sure those who are reprensenting us in Washington have really good health insurance (so good that according to at least one version, if not THE final version, those who represent us could keep their private insurance instead of having the healthcare of the masses). So I doubt he's paying much out of pocket. But then again, I don't know ... thoughts?

The olive caused Kucinich "serious and permanent injuries" as well as "pain, suffering and loss of enjoyment," according to a complaint filed in Superior Court in Washington, D.C.

Couldn't all that be attributed to being a politician though?:p

If he'd filed this sometime in, say, 2009, I might be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

But waiting almost three years before bringing suit makes me think it has nothing at all to really do with the olive pit.

Whatever deal he made with the Devil to nab his wife must be wearing off. <cough>

Daddy needs some campaign funds.
