Basically, out of $398m raised $80m is being allocated for "walking and bike trails" In areas not even effected

This is total bollocks and one of the main reasons I volunteered services and such rather than money.

Well I can understand wanting to rebuild the community, but I wonder how close to the damage the town that proposed the $50K walking track was. As with all donations people are shocked to find out what is really given to the charity, I forget how horrible the overhead is for some organizations.

One should always check the allocations and overhead for a charity prior to donating. Some would surprise you, as with this one, with what they actually do with the money they get.

I'm not sure off the top of my head, but I think this was actually a government run collection, I may be wrong though, it's been over 2 years, I'll have to do some more research.
