It's all over the news and no surprise that Vanessa filed for a divorce after all of Kobe's infidelities. Some people say that she really played her cards right in divorcing him after all this time. For one, they're in the state of California and two, Kobe doesn't have a prenup...so in the words of Ted Buckley from Scrubs....Girlfriend's gonna get paaaaid (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tw_VRQYzMYM)! To me, cheating is taking the chickenshit route in a relationship because you're not confronting the issues in your relationship or doing anything to make it work. It's bad enough to cheat once but to do it more than once is being a complete scumbag, especially when the spouse has stood by your side time after time and has been faithful to you. I can't say I don't blame Vanessa at all. Payback is a bitch, Kobe and boy are you gonna get taken to the cleaners!

In California, you get more if you stick around for at least a decade because at that point it's considered a long-term marriage.

Her father says she's learned from her mother, who stuck around with him long enough that she essentially gets a payday until she remarries.
