  • Beard or Goatee?

In your opinion which is better? I know some would argue neither but for those of us with very little chin facial hair is a godsend.

I have worn a goatee for the last 6 years and trying to decide if I should go full beard or just stick with Goatee.

What do you do? What do you think?

Should I stop being the evil twin?

I cannot grow a goatee, so it's full beard for me, it's not just a godsend for people with no chin, it's also a godsend for people with more than one.

I've tried a full beard, but there's a point where it gets to bee too itchy/irritating no matter how much I wash it. I usually stick with a Soul Patch.

Funnily enough, my friends cannot grow a full beard.

Depends on the person, I think, but I generally prefer goatee. I convinced my husband (boyfriend, at the time) to grow a goatee about two years ago and it looks great on him. He'd never had facial hair before but he wears it really well.

Some guys look better with goatees. Some guys look better with beards. Can't really tell if I don't see the guy.

When I have a goatee, I look like a bad-ass possible supervillain awesome guy.

When I have a full beard, I look like a hobo.

BTW, thanks for starting this thread and re-opening wounds. I just shaved mine off last week, and my wife and I were both distraught. It felt like putting a pet to sleep. I shaved it off in the hopes that looking more clean-shaven might bring a few more job offers my way.

                I miss my Klingon goatee :: (

I prefer growing a goatee. Looks much better. I experimented a lot in the past year with facial hair. I've only done a mustache once as I looked like a stereotypical pedophile. Goatee looks decent. Beard is meh. Plus it's just too damn scratchy. Goatee isn't so scratch and is mad fun to play with.

I usually let mine grow out into a beard. That is if I am single. If I am taken, then I have it how she wants it. What can I say, I love kisses

Every guy is different. My husband looks like a total douche with a goatee, but a nicely trimmed beard is quite attractive on him.

Beards age you, which is something to keep in mind. My husband just shaved clean a few days ago, and he looks so young now.

I'd rather have clean-shaven or full hippie beard. I am not a fan of goatees, but to each their own. My bf can't grow either...I do like when he is scruffy after a trip.

My wife doesn't like me to shave fully, either. I just take some hair clippers or beard trimmers and run them over my fave and leave the stubble.

I absolutely loathed facial hair on a guy until I met my current boyfriend. His name is Wolf because he looks and acts almost exactly like Wolverine from the X-Men, huge chops included. It is so hot on him, and it's even better when he lets them grow out and get long. He once let them grow out so much that I could braid them.

Sigh. Gotta love the rugged man look. Yum.

Mustache & goatee for me. I tried just a mustache when I was younger, but I looked like a kid who was trying to get into a '70's porn flick.

I would grow a full beard if I could, but I only get sparse bits on my cheeks/upper jawline.

So, a goatee it is. Besides, I like being the evil one.
