  • Boys' Love Manga CafĂ© Closes Due to Safety Concerns Around Male Non-Customers

A boys' love café in Japan has shut its doors because men were hanging around for "some unknown reason." This place only allowed women inside.

Why would men want to buy gay manga? 🙄
Corey Taylor is correct. Man is a "four letter word."

Sounds like a security issue. Weird guys hanging around places they know unaccompanied women go late at night?

Bet that is a prime harassment/assault spot.

It's not a good business practice to refuse to server half of their potential customer base. They're blaming men for their bad business practice.

This is factually wrong and betrays a very rudimentary and incomplete understanding of business.

It can be a good or bad move. Often by limiting your scope and reducing your POTENCIAL customers you increase your ACTUAL customers. A relevant example from where I live is a Gym/fitness studio chain for women. A significant number of women have bad gym experiences with males or are just generally uncomfortable exercising with males.

By reducing their potential customer base they gained a business advantage over their competition. By differentiating themselves thus they managed to enter and thrive a saturated market. They managed to get women who did not go to Gyms to go to their gym, and managed to attract women that already went to othei gyms but felt a Women-only space would be more comfortable.
