  • Minnesota GOP Facing Eviction from Headquarters

    Article at Star Tribune

Apparently, former chairman Sutton hadn't paid a full rent bill since last April, managed to finagle a $100,000 annual salary, and then stopped paying rent altogether in August. He has since been replaced, and the owner of the property, now owed at least $60,000, has filed with the courts to have the GOP evicted from the property.

There are quite a number of others who were not being paid as well, some of whom are willing to work with the party, but others of whom appear to be fed up with being jerked around.

But not all is wrong with the Minnesota GOP - Plans to have Bradlee Dean speak at a St. Cloud College GOP event have come under fire for Dean's hate messages regarding gays (Dean's You Can Run But You Can't Hide ministry has been declared a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center), and if they go ahead with having him speak, there is talk of dissolving the chapter.

Darn. On first reading, I thought "dissolving the chapter" referred to the entire state's GOP.
