I commented on a U.S. political/business issue on FB today. Somebody identified me as not an American (true, nor do I live in the U.S.) and one poster then replied, "Then she needs to stay out of American politics." I argued that I have the same right to my opinions as she does and was told, "Not about American politics, you don't."
I was getting increasingly pissed off when she announced that she didn't argue with ignorant people and was signing off for the night. I did ask exactly how she planned to stop the rest of the world from commenting about American politics (then I told her to have fun sulking ... okay, not very mature, I admit ....)
WTF is wrong with some people, anyway? I might disagree -- strongly! -- with people's comments about Canadian politics, but I would never consider telling them to STFU about Canadian politics because they're outside the country.

. Too many rely on just one source of info (like Faux News, or BSnbc)..and don't do their own research to find out the truth. No offense meant to those who do watch fox or msnbc..just make sure to take other sources into consideration and just not one source.
