You know there is something wrong with the world when the KKK has a more enlightened view (in one extremely small area) than some of the Christian churches.
That said, when it comes to the KKK, please, don't help me. Y'all have your own battles to fight that I don't agree with, so please don't get me involved by trying to help me.

And if he's willing to spend $16k to fight the WBC, then all the better, I will take allies against Christian Hate anyplace I can find it... even if it's from another Hater.
"The Enemy of my Enemy is my friend"
seems approprieate at this point

I saw pics of phelps and his band of nuts being counter protested against in San Francisco. And yes, the counter-deomnstrators had LOTS of silly signs. "I have a sign" "God hates signs" "I was promised donuts" and so on. It was hilarious.

I also recall that there was one guy who showed up to a bunch of their anti-gay protests and took donations from the people passing by... for LGBT organizations
That was perfect... actually turning their own attention against them

It's my university's Pride Week, and today they're having a big drag show/fundraiser. And, of course, Phelps & Co. are coming to protest. (Oh, the joys of being local, they can show up all the time.) A bunch of students have planned a counter protest, and I wish I could go, but it's during one of my sections. grrr. Being the teacher sucks sometimes. Unfortunately, they're presenting group projects today, so I can't even say that, "Oh, class today is the counter-protest!"

I'm SO for that idea, that the minute I hear he's even hospitalized, I will go to the press with my intention to picket his eventual funeral. I will find out what room in the hospital he was in, and I will stand outside his window, dressed as the grim reaper, with a sign saying, "Time's a-wastin', Phelps!"
When it does happen, I will follow the funeral train in a rented hearse, with externals blaring "Ding, Dong! The Witch is Dead!" all the way to the cemetary. At a reasonable distance, of course. Then when we get there, I will continue to blare that sng as well as "Never Gonna Give you Up" while dancing with friends and signs.
... you know what's scary? None of that is preplanned, I just made it up spontaneously. I fear my brain.
