  • The 1960s and 1970s are to blame....

for all of the priest abuse of young males/pedophillia.

In a report released on Wed the Roman Catholic church blames Vatcan II, the social and sexual revolution ie. blame Woodstock.

what the report does NOT seem to be able to explain is all of the "abuse" that happened BEFORE the 1960's.

The first is that many of the victims of abuse from the 1930’s through the 1950’s are probably very reluctant to come forward due to cultural norms held at that time would make it less likely that they would want to come forward.
and also the fact that the parish priest was "pope" of the parish and cound do no wrong. and anyway who would belive that a "nice celebate" priest would do nasty things to mere children

the report does not appear to address all of the local Bishops and the priest shuffle locally and nationally.

Well it's obvious. All these deviant priests went back in time.

This is one of the reasons why I stepped away from organized religion. It's run by men, and men can be corrupted.

I'm sure it goes back to the 460s and 470s, too.

I imagine it goes back to the day when it was decided that priest couldn't marry.
