The US birth rate hit an all-time low in 2002 (the last year for which statistics are available). It has been declining steadily for 12 years.
Population growth may indeed become a problem for the US. Should the rate of growth become negative (as it has in many areas of Canada), incentives to have more than one child may become necessary. Especially given the attitude the US currently has towards immigration.
Population growth control is not necessary in most industrialized nations. Modernization and access to education naturally lowers birth rates.

Until someone can come up with a reason a little more valid than "my religion says it's wrong", or all this codswallop about "it's a baby" when it ain't no bigger than the end of my fingernail and can't survive without its host, they can hush and mind their own business.
Like a previous poster said, they're pro life til it's born, then it's "good luck, don't ask me for shit"
For lack of a better word, "baby" means everything between egg and infant. I will try to remove inflammatory words from my writing, but if I do include a word choice that you feel is unnecessarily judgemental, please suggest a more value-neutral option. It's difficult to remove our biases completely, and I want to engage in a civil debate instead of starting a flamewar.
