FAIR WARNING THIS IS HORRID, no really REALLY, REALLY
    you were warned

One of the articles Disabled son...very dumb father

First point, at what point in this man's mind was it ok to come to the conclusion that it was ok to do to his son what he did? The boy had a mother, and i may not know what other options there were but many of them did not involve death. If you were THAT "tired of caring for him" you could have left. As a mother who cares, I cannot fathom doing this being male or female.

I have no words and may you be given some form of mercy because it won't come from me. I don't care what disability that boy had or what was wrong with him, it definitely DID NOT mean he should die.

Second point, and sad that this came to mind, you have won father of the year award and you have your name in the history books as one of the worst people in history. I don't care if readers have children or not, I wept for Jori. (I believe that is his name.)

I didn't take the time to read the article or anything else around this. Just wanted to point out how sexist this statement is.

I read a headline echoing a similar story with the mother killing their child, that or it was a thread here, it was recent but I don't recall reading it.
So yeah mite bit sexist that assumption.

Without reading the article, both stories seem like growing tired of children just as people grow tired of a puppie as it grows into a dog, the fact that people think that they can just end it for their child in such a way is a bit saddening for the human race, then I remember there are far worse things happening to children and adults alike, and I remember why I stopped caring about others on the whole.

I apologize as it was not meant that way. Then as a father how could he harm his own child?

And yes people grow tired of other people, that still doesn't make it right to kill that person. Same thing for a dog, cat or other pet.
As Ginger Tea said about not caring about others as a whole this ads to the general disdain and hatred for humanity as a whole...not just that he killed his child but that he left the head out on the curb for his wife to see, as well as OTHERS.

I totally sympathize with how he may have felt...but ya know what??? FUCKING DEAL WITH IT! There's a million ways he could've coped, but....jesus. He could've just smoked a lot of pot. He could've left. He could've taken to writing the most random, crazy posts on Fratching to vent his frustrations.

I cannot believe this man can be anywhere near the realm of sane.

watching news as we speak, the announcer just said that it was found out that there was previous history/attempt earlier in the kids life that the dad "wanted the child not to suffer"
And that the mom was going to get her truck from being repaired to leave.

From the article linked in the first post Jori was born three months early thus why he had all the medical problems.

and for some of us dealing with it is not so easy

I might believe the "didn't want him to suffer" notion if he'd just smothered him or something, but this manner of death doesn't come from compassion.

....then I remember there are far worse things happening to children and adults alike...
There are worse things than being dismembered, but not many.

As I said in my first post, I hadn't read the article, just knew that a dad had killed his son, cos he didn't want to be a father any more.

I've just seen the post about leaving the head on the kerb.

Yep that's a kinda new low for anyone not a member of the hills have eyes/wrong turn type of clansmen.

"I didn't want him to suffer."
                "So you beheaded him?"

                Logic where are you?

The fact that he left the boy's head by the road so the mother would see it leads me to think this was some form of revenge against her and maybe didn't have much to do with the child at all.

If it did, that's just pathetic. Sure, taking care of a healthy kid is tiring, and I can only imagine how exhausting it is to take care of a severely disabled child. But as others have said, he could have left (although he would still have been on the hook for child support).

That's exactly what I took from the article, that part about him not wanting the child to suffer sounds like total bullshit after reading that the son of a bitch cut off the head as well as a hand and both his feet. I hope he gets his in prison.

He could've had another relative or hire a caretaker or even had the boy be adopted by another family that is more than willing to care for a special needs child instead of beheading the poor boy!
