Why does it take so much to get a company to act reasonably?

The ONLY valid reason to "walk" someone who paid in full for a specific type of room months in advance is if, due to some unforseen circumstance (equipment failure, etc.), they have FEWER of that type of room than they have customers who have paid for it in full in advance. Since they already have the money, there's no reason to overbook.

However you forget in this system of trust, You need to account for the employees with the key not being disgruntled and from doing work in a major electronics store, most things in the back weren't on lock down because of no customers in the back..... employees steal shit all the time.Originally posted by HYHYBT View PostThat they're kept locked up would logically be a reason *not* to have to check, the boxes being away from other customers' tampering hands. Of course, again, that would depend on the store doing its job of verifying returns. Also, I agreed that it would be a good idea for big-ticket items, and was only disagreeing with your statement that people should do it for everything, and also with the notion that people who have never run into or heard of this problem before should just KNOW to do this.
