  • One WILD obituary

This was originally posted/printed by the Reno Gazette-Journal. THe obit was submitted by the woman's children thru the papers self service on-line portal

    http://gawker.com/this-brutal-obitua...r-c-1286582748

It has since been removed by the paper for "review".

If this obit is indeed true (or even mostly true)
I'm lost without a paddle and I'm headed up sh*t creek.

I got one foot on a banana peel and the other in the Twilight Zone.

I find it curious that the response says it was removed because the date was found to be inaccurate but goes on to not give the correct date of death.

The paper probably doesn't want to risk a lawsuit from the VERY FEW (if any) friends or loved ones of the deceased.

On what grounds? You can't defame a dead person.

That's the kind of obit I would have written for my mother if I had written one at all. So I understand their point of view.

Were the people who took out the add the real children of the deceased?
Imagine you were putting an obit in for your mother and find that someone else who didn't like her that much had posted that claiming to be you or one of your siblings.

They may be covering their arse, we've had people writing in to the paper expressing their concerns that they read about their own death in the morning paper, mostly it's celebs who are either ill and have had one rushed to be ready and it slipped out by mistake, or someone tweeted their death as a joke but enough believed it for it to make it into the paper.

Sadly, that obit is much like the one I'd write for my own mother...

If that obit is real... wow. Also if the woman in the obit is the same as the one who had the "Whites Only" job agency.

Yeah, does not sound like a pleasant individual.

But I can understand the paper's discretion. If the people who submitted it were, in fact, not her family, that could cause a lot of strife. However, again, if this is accurate...

From several sources it appear that this obituary is indeed true
