  • "Hot Chicks" Promotion

    http://www.blackbearcasinoresort.com...hotchicks.html

One of the casinos in my state is running a "Hot Chicks" Promotion. The sexism runs rampant. They've been running an ad on my local radio station featuring wolf whistles and suggestions that people come to the casino to "pick up a hot chick." (with the added sexism that only heterosexual men are people) Just that bit squicked me out. From the link, their claw machine where you get your prize is labeled "pick-up machine." Also, the anthropomorphized cartoon chickens wearing makeup and carrying pink purses are just.... ugh.

How much more blatantly sexist can they get? I don't think I want to know.

I think the women in the town should blatently boycott the place.

If you think about it for a second, this advertising campaign is basically saying "Hey, chickenfucker! You know you want it.". No need to boycott the place. Just go up to anyone at the claw machine and go "Hey, chickenfucker!".

Really? You can't think of anything that could be more sexist than theming your casino promotion around a lame pun?

It's not just the stupid pun. It's the implied sexual harassment and the suggestion that all customers who visit the casino are male, or at least that only male customers are important.
