Okay, I get there are some things out there that a lot of people like: Star Wars, Dr. Who, Game of Thrones, Adele, Bruno Mars, Quentin Tarantino movies, etc, etc.
I also like some of these things but not others.
Game of Thrones for example I just haven't gotten into. Yes I enjoy fantasy as much as the next person but GoT is personally not my thing. Being labeled as something of a traitor to the cause because I don't care for certain elements of pop culture is maddening.
You enjoy what you like, I'll enjoy what I like, maybe we can even find some common ground, but everyone is different and there is no need to act shocked when I say I don't like a particular thing you happen to love. I'm sure the reverse is true in some cases but you don't see me dogging you out for it now do you?

My SIL has tried to slip me faux potato soup and faux mashed potatoes made out of cauliflower a couple of times...So I just took a bite or two and didn't comment either way. She insists that they taste indistinguishable from the real thing -- She just leaves out "...as long as you add enough butter, pepper, and cheese to choke an ox."
