Ouch! You're right, and I apologize to Hobbs.
I didn't mean for that to come off as nasty as it seemed.

What I meant was, if members are active on both sites, and a banned member continues to be active on one, but not another, many people don't even notice that the person is missing on the other site.
They continue to see the member's name, so they don't really stop to think about it. They don't make the distinction that the name is only popping up on one site.

Since Hobbs has been active on fratching since January, and since his ban at CS, has had about 60 posts and started 2 threads over here, as well as continuing and being active in a debate started at CS, but moved over here, many people would just assume he's still active on CS unless it was pointed out to them, or they are on his friend's list and he's let them know about the ban.

That was all I meant. As I said, it was not intended as a burn.

My point was that you listed the inability to make a fresh start when everyone knew about your ban, yet, if you hadn't made this post venting about it, a lot of people probably wouldn't have thought twice about it and wouldn't even have noticed you were gone from CS.

I uh, do kind find it intresting that you changed your title and signature shortly after your banned.

    Kinda like a matryr.

People get banned from sites alot. I've been banned from some when I was younger. I been banned by a friend of mine at his site, because I didn't post anything on his game thread, because of well, work.

You move on. You take your lesson you learn, and realize that hey, I made a mistake. Time to not do that again.

Your still here, you still can post here. So its not a total ban. (which I've seen happened...)

    4) As per my laziness, I have to dig through spam to find the emailed versions of my PM's to get people's email addresses.

    5) I seem to get more PM's here, and I keep having to cull my in/out boxes.

    More to come

Seriously...I wonder how many people even noticed or wondered why you were banned until you pointed it out.

When I was in high school I used to get banned all the fucking time from different forums. I was a prick I guess.

Nowadays I just get lots of warnings. I've been pretty good on here and CS though. A few warnings, but nothing major. I think it's because there's more people like elsporko who make me look better (like in my "black sheep" thread).

I'm confused as to the point of this thread.

You've posted on a debate forum, yet asked people not to debate it and when someone posts a response that isn't what you want to hear you don't really reply other than "re read what I posted".

So what is it that you want?

I've never been banned before either. So I'm still trying to come to terms with it.

How to approach this... I'd love to discuss, but have nothing to go on. The circumstances of your banning are apparently off-limits, and I can't just commiserate because I've never been banned, ever, anywhere. I don't think I've ever even had a post or comment removed (unless the entire thread was deleted) except one time, and that was a comment on article on a Catholic News site saying that their church was doing evil in the name of good, so a deletion was all but expected. (Even there, a more gently-worded replacement comment was accepted.)
