He could have said it jokingly. I mean, based on the fact that there's a thread, he probably didn't. But I can totally see someone saying as a hyperbole. He's saying he hopes she appreciates it, by overstating what he expects.

I don't understand what you mean. Are you declaring that, if he wants to have sex this weekend, he cannot possibly want anything else out of the relationship overall? Because that's what I was raising as a possibility.

I've always believed that if a guy truly feels he's entitled to sex in return for spending money, then he needs to drop the pretense of dating and hire a professional.
