I hope you mean the NFL shouldn't allow political ads, not some government agency or someone else. The NFL can be as political as it wants. It already has players that advocate many things less controversial than abortion/antiabortion. If the supposed "Big Abortion" supporters had a problem with Mr. Tebow's ad, they should've ran their own pro-choice ad.

That's rediculous. We all know Tim Tebow would've become a crime fighter and owner of Tebow Enterprises. Oh wait that's Batman.

I'm gonna pull a part Godwin, my bad.

Using someones life as an example against abortion doesn't work when you consider Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, Goerring, Napoleon, how many millions of people would have lived had those few cells been flushed out before they grew?

Politics don't have a place in football? And Viagra ads do? (2009 superbowl had what seemed like a million erectile dysfunction meds) It's a commercial. They're trying to sell you on an idea just like Budweiser is trying to sell you their beer.
Crooked banks around the world would gladly give a loan today so if you ever miss a payment they can take your home away.

Did anyone actually find the ad genuinely offensive? I thought it was pretty mundane and harmless.

Nope. She was just lazy and should have been strapped down to a bed and forced to continue the ectopic pregnancy.

What about rape victims and incest victims? What about fetuses suffering from lethal deformities? Should women be forced to give birth to "babies" that will just die within hours?

There are literally thousands of reasons why someone might choose to have an abortion. Very few of them are simply because the woman is "too lazy" to raise a child.

If the baby is going to kill you its fine to abort it. Its just like shooting somebody who has a gun drawn at you. Get him before he gets you. In other cases adoption is a better option, except you have selfish women who don't want to get fat and have their you know what ruined by the baby so they abort it instead.

Elspork since life is so sacred your anti war right?
If the war is not necessary to help the nation then yes.

Yes, every woman who doesn't want to go through the trauma of pregnancy, spend hours in extremely painful labor, just to go through the added emotional trauma of giving a child away is selfish. Do you consider the Plan B they give rape victims abortion? Birth control pills?

Gee, thanks for your permission elsporko. It is SO nice to know that women you do not even know have your permission to save their own lives. Can we have permission to own property, vote, work outside the home, and make any other choices about our lives too please?

Like whether or not we want to ruin our lives?

P.S. - how many of the thousands of children suffering in the foster care system have YOU adopted? How many of them are minorities? How many of them have physical or mental disabilities? Do you know the average length of time a child who is NOT a healthy white infant spends in foster care?

I watched the superbowl with my brother and grandfather. After the game my brother asked why they didn't show the ad. The ad was so low key he didn't even notice it played.

They seriously ran a pro-life ad during the superbowl? Wow.

Hey Tim, here's a thought. Maybe you shouldn't be tarnishing the sport you love by dragging it into a political shitstorm with a commercial I'm pretty sure the vast majority of people watching did not want to see.

Link to the actual ad (somewhat low quality). Please tell me what was so freaking offensive in the ad. It seems like many in this thread are just flying off the handle about "a pro-life ad in the Super Bowl" without even having seen it.

                            Pretty low-key.

However, IMO, Focus on the Family is still a horrible organization doing great harm to our country, and it doesn't belong in the Super Bowl.

I don't even know why there are 5 pages in this commentary! (<-- Sarcasm) I mean, read the below article.

According to the Nielson ratings, The Tim Tebow commercial came in Dead. Last. as the most-watched commercial during the Super Bowl

There is a "rebuttal commercial" aired by Jimmy Kimmel for the National Organization of Women. It's pretty funny.
