  • Meh you were never in any danger

Rather than arrest a man when they knew he was a serious threat they let him carry out an attack on the basis that they were giving him fake equipment and making him think it was real.

My wondering what if he had figured out he was being played and had played them back?

What if he had let them think they were still leading them by the nose but he slipped in a real bomb and his attack had succeeded?

Did they take a risk? If so was it their risk to take given the lives that would have been lost? Discuss.

You know, that's an interesting point. What if his real contacts had gotten in touch with him? Wouldn't that have ruined everything? I know I probably watch too much 24, but this ploy seems really risky when you think about it. And in this case, it wasn't their only chance to get him.

How about waiting until the trial is over, read the transcripts, and find out all the details instead of assuming things?
