    Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy

I'm sure that will work well In your favour when the officials finally get fed up enough to shut you down.

    NC Senate candidate Greg Brannon

As opposed to what he wants, which is "Do what say" which is a dictatorship. Whoops!

You know, most other politicians at least TRY misdirection when they do these lies.

Apparently, Latta wants Earl Bullard to sober up.

I'd LOVE to hear the Dixie Chicks singing about the results of the next election in Latta, SC.

ETA: After I made my post, this thread on the topic was started.

"I would much rather have -- and I will say this to anybody's face -- somebody who drank and drank too much taking care of my child than I had somebody whose lifestyle is questionable around children. Because that ain't the damn way it's supposed to be...I'm not going to let two women stand up there and hold hands and let my child be aware of it."

Mayor Earl Bullard of Latta, South Carolina, on firing longtime police chief Crystal Moore, who is a lesbian

Yup, you heard right. The mayor would rather have an alcoholic who is incapable of doing their job as a police chief than a competent person who just happens to be homosexual.

Is it wrong that I almost want to see that scenario happen and watch the town go to shit?

It makes for more entertaining mudslinging at least.

    Not prostitutes. Just Gold Diggers.

Not just half. She seems to believe that women do and ought to want husbands who make more than they do; I've heard it claimed that men, likewise, want wives who make less than they do.

Aside from whether people really are like that, and aside from whether they ought to be, and aside from everything else that's wrong with her thinking in general, her math is wrong anyway.

I'm not sure what's worse for me. Getting me dragged into this discussion which I REALLY wanted to stay out of or the absurdity of what she said that caused it.

I just want to make it clear, I never said I agreed with him, just that I think I understand what he was trying to say, not that I agreed with what he was saying.
