    One more!

People who never listen, even after you've established yourself to be almost always right. i.e. "Man, you really shouldn't date Jessica. I know her, I've known her a long time, she's trouble."

Person doesn't listen, dates Jessica anyway. Ends badly, he gets STD's and jail time and his life is just destroyed.

We've now established that I know what I'm talking about! However, later on..."Dude, you really shouldn't date Ellie either. She's just like Jessica."

Person still doesn't listen, and dates Ellie. Same thing.

I could make my own thread about insurance people.

I have no choice. I have to get to work. Drunk people shouldn't be allowed on the roads. Quit punishing the decent people!

    But, guns kill people, and....

Yes, I totally agree (specifically) on half these points! I especially hate it (ooh! HATE HATE HATE!! ) when you come up with an intelligent, and hey, maybe even informed (gasp!) argument or discussion point... and it gets completely ignored (especially when it specifically addresses relevant points that have been made).

Or, when a point is repeated over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and again... and completely ignores any arguments to the contrary.

In contrast, people who take absolutely or have absolutely no sense of accountability or responsibility - at all! (which can be like your hypocrisy).

(and then, people who dramatise and exagerate every point... like me )

Btw - 'hate' is a very strong word... sure you don't want to use another one??

    Random Hates

    - When I say something like "Man, I hate it when people drive slow in the fast lane."

And then some douchebag comes along and says "DON'T SAY HATE IT'S SUCH A STRONG WORD WAAAAAAAAH."

    - When you're having a debate or argument with someone, and they completely fail to address all of your points, instead only picking and choosing what they want to hear. "I am in support of gun ownership, in fact owning a gun has saved my life several times."

"Yes, well, the thing is there's no real reason to own a gun. There's never been a situation before where owning a gun saved someone's life."

(pleeeeeeeeeeease not looking to start a gun control debate just using that as an example! )

    - Similar to above, only the offending person ignores EVERYTHING you just said and starts picking at the tiniest flaws. "Ummm, excuse me but you just ended your sentence with a PREPOSITION!" I've noticed Rush Limbaugh has been doing shit like this lately. I used to like him

    - People with an extreme sense of accountability and blame. "What happened?"

"Well I was going to the store to get diapers, and this drunk guy came out of nowhere and just plowed into my car."

"Well that's CLEARLY your fault. You should know better than to be out driving! There's drunk people out there."

(my insurance agent actually told me that...i switched to Geico shortly after)

    - Hypocritical people in general. "There's no smoking in my house, Jim."

    "But you're smoking."

    "Well, its my house."
