The fact that I lost 50 pounds over a few months, and I have no idea how.
My weight seems to have settled, or I would have made a doctor's appointment. It also seems to have been pure fat lost.

Or short-sleeved shirts under long-sleeved shirts under short-sleeved shirts.

    (Too obscure?)

Those tops don't even look good on the skeletal. It even makes them look like they've got a pooch.

I am all over the longer layered shirt under a shorter shirt look though.

    Dear Fashion Designers,

Are you trying to punish plus-sized people for being fat or what? QUIT PUTTING ELASTIC BANDS AT THE BOTTOM OF TOPS. I am so tired of finding really cute tops that fit perfectly except this...band at the bottom that's skin tight around my legs and makes the shirt lay all weird. Stop it!

I hate people who, despite now being adults, still will make fun of someone for not wanting to do bad things or break the law.

When people pressure me to drive drunk so we don't have to pay for a taxi, etc etc.

I mean, what are we, 5? "Hahaha, you're a pansy, you won't steal $5 off the teacher's desk!" is pretty much what you are picking on me for.

"Haha you're such a sally, you won't drive drunk! No one's going to catch you!"

    Oh they won't? Right.

That's great that you have the option of taking public transit, or living close enough to work that you can walk, but many people don't have that option.

I grew up on a farm. As a teenager, I had to drive to my part-time jobs. There are no buses in the boondocks, and the nearest town was a 30 minute bicycle-ride away. Which is not feasible during Canadian winters.

You could just turn that back on them too. Afterall, you KNEW what you were getting into when you signed onto Customerssuck.com! What did you think it was? A website praising those people we have to serve every day? You have no right to complain about people complaining about customers!!!111!!111!!1111!!!1!

gah! I hated that. I felt like telling them: "OK, so your job is perfect?!!" Everyone has stuff about their jobs that they complain about, and when you're in customer service it just happens to be the sucky customers.

But I guess since we work in customer service we have to act like we LOVE getting treated like crap by rude, greedy people? Riiight...

Or, when a point is repeated over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and again... and completely ignores any arguments to the contrary.

Oh, man . . . That was exactly the reason why I stopped visiting the Planet Feedback website years ago.

I can still vividly remember a number of "debates" I got into with certain "pro-customer" commentors on PFB.

Anybody who regularly visited PFB during its previous incarnation (the "green" version, as opposed to the current "purple" one) might remember names like Dave G., Sara S., A.M., and of course, the raving lunatic known as Ken V., and his rabid anti-WalMart crusade.

(I remember a couple of times when a person wrote a letter to Wal-Mart through PFB, with a completely baseless complaint . . . Inevitably, several PFB commentors would side with Wal-Mart, telling the letter writer that he/she was the one in the wrong, and Ken V. alone would support the letter writer, talking about how terrible Wal-Mart is, and encouraging the letter writer to boycott Wal-Mart.

The letter writer would then post a comment, thanking Ken V. for his support and saying, "Well, at least there's one person here who understands where I'm coming from!"

I would shake my head in amusement, wondering if the letter writer had ever seen any of Ken V.'s posts in which he openly stated that he never bothers to judge whether a complaint letter about Wal-Mart has any merit or not.

    Seriously.

Ken V. actually said that his sole agenda on PFB was to get as many people to boycott Wal-Mart as possible. He didn't care whether they had any legitimate complaints or not. As long as they stopped shopping at Wal-Mart, he was happy. )

    Anyway . . .

I really didn't want to see it at first, but . . . Eventually, I was forced to accept that getting into a "debate" with any of these people was an exercise in utter futility. It was more like I was trying to debate them, and kept hitting a stone wall every time I did.

In my PFB posts, I would respond to the arguments made by Dave, Sara, A.M., Ken, and the other "pro-customer" commentors, and offer counter-arguments. I would then offer my own arguments as to why a particular letter writer was in the wrong.

And I really expected that they would do the same, offering their own counter-arguments and new arguments to support their positions and refute what I had said.

Instead, they just kept repeating their same arguments, their same stock "The customer is always right" rhetoric, over and over again. All with the general (and persistent) attitude of, "What is the matter with you? Why can't you see that I am right?"

No matter what I did . . . For the life of me, I could not get any of them to actually respond to anything I said. Eventually, I gave up.

In my last "debate" with Ken V., I actually said :

"I now realize that it's pointless to continue trying to get Ken to respond to any of my arguments. So, I'll just focus on responding to his . . ."

And you know what? He STILL didn't respond.

Whoa . . . I just had a flashback to every single time that anybody ever told me that I shouldn't be complaining about rude or abusive customers because I chose to work in a customer service job.

"You shouldn't complain about stuff like that, you know. You must have known what you were getting into when you took a job in a retail store."

. . . So because we knew that we'd be dealing with rude and abusive customers when we took these jobs, that makes it okay for people to be rude and abusive to us?!

I particularly love it when they say, "No, no, no, I'm not saying it's okay to be rude to salespeople. I'm just saying that you shouldn't complain about it."

First of all, how exactly does saying that we have no right to complain about being treated rudely NOT constitute saying that it's okay to treat us rudely . . . ?

If we're being mistreated, then we should have the right to voice our anger over it, whether we knew it was going to happen or not. Saying that we don't have that right, in my view, does constitute saying that there's nothing wrong with the way we're being treated.

Second, did it ever occur to these idiots that part of the reason why so many customers are rude to CSRs in the first place is because people keep telling the CSRs to STFU and not complain about rude customers?

    Again, .

lol I don't know why but the mention of gas reminded me of people who go on those gas boycotts and won't buy any gas on April 19th, because that will bring down the evil oil companies and gas will be free forever after that!

People who can dish it, but absolutely CANNOT take it when it's given back to them. If you can't handle it, then don't fucking start anything, ok?

People who have no clue what they are talking about, sometimes are completely wrong or way off, yet they will fight it and go on and on and beat the dead horse and keep trying to top the argument even though it's of no use to keep continuing....

That and people who always just have to turn EVERYTHING into a damn debate...and always have to be right!

For instance, one of my coworkers....I swear, there is no subject that is safe....

"So today I noticed gas still hadn't gone up yet, so I decided to fill up-"

    "Gas DIDN'T go up today!"

"Yes, it did....it was still $2.79 this morning but on my way to work tonight I noticed that it went up to $2.84.....so anyway, after I got gas, you'll never guess who I saw at---"

"There's no way gas went up today!"

"Yes, it did. I guess you'll have to wait and see after work when you pass a station, but it did."

"It CAN'T have gone up, it just went up on Tuesday!"

Yeah, and when they act all offended and high and mighty its usually just a cop out. There's things you can throw out there like "This is so immature" or "I'm just above that kind of thing" that is a nice cover up for "I have no idea what to say because I'm a fucking idiot, so you win."

People are thinking about what they want to say to you before you finish talking, so they dont' listen.

I've had this problem actually more on message boards or in hand written notes though. People will skim over my posts or notes and not actually read all the points I'm trying to make, because "Reading is hard" for some people.

I try to use dislike when it fits, but when I hate something, I'm going to use the right word dammit!

That said, que rabid foaming at the mouth and a loud, repeating "GUN CONTROL!" shouts and other signs of borderline insane behavior from myself.

Sometimes I wonder if the anti-gun people truly think about what they are saying, granted, they probably wonder what the hell I'm thinking but DAMN some of the stuff I hear when trying to pluck up a conversation.

I hate people who get all offended or refuse to talk about gun control when I start conversations with "What's your opinion on gun control?"

And yeah, the same thing happens with just about any 'hot button issue', many people believe what they believe and they aren't going to be brainwashed by your horrible, evil, arguments no matter how logical and factual you are.
