I hate to tell you...but being dicked with *IS* a part of life, admittedly a sucky one. Boards like CS wouldn't exist, otherwise, nor would everyone have various stories of how they were treated unfairly. I'd seriously love to know where the right to not have this happen is.

Loopholes does not equal breaking the rules. It's IN THE RULES. There's also a certain give or take attitude. If you're gonna be a stickler for the rules, so am I. Ease up a bit, and so will I.

I just don't consider "bucking" authority to be that bad. It's one of those things you just have to deal with if you want to be in power. You left a loophole, I took advantage of it. Get over it.

Yes, yes it does. It displays intent. If you had read them, you'd have been deliberately breaking them. If you hadn't then it's perhaps understandable that you didn't know what to follow. We tend to allow some leeway to brand new members on the forums I run.

What I get from this discussion, though, is the impression that you were out for a fight and got one, and didn't like the result.

Considering the TOS are the "rules" of a forum and your original post was about people "not following their own rules," I can't see how the TOS is not intrinsically relevant to the entire matter.
