They probably want to get out of the way before RTL, DTL, and TTL show up on their CRT (or TFT LCD). They're not like the PHB - they know when yet another IBM TLA is going to annoy them.

Not to mention out in the loading bays you've got to deal with EGR, DPF (a.k.a. another type of CRT), SCR (not one that an electronics geek would recognize), and DEF.
