But, if you were the one taking care of your child and she was posting this, I would tell her the same thing.

Having a child means sacrifices, take a little money out of your paycheck each week and file it away in a separate bank account for your (ex?) wife. That way, there is a payment posted date and she can't lie to the courts. With that, you won't have your license taken away.

I do pay. Every year. How about, SHE chose to throw a wrench in every time I was with my kid, SHE chose to not let me see him and drag this into Nasty Court, SHE chose to leave the state and strip me of every right she could, so SHE gets to take her once a year payment and budget it out as she sees fit.

Around here, they usually just throw guys in jail for not paying child support, if actually going in and garnishing their paychecks/bank accounts isn't working. I guess I really can't see the correlation between driving and child support. I myself am more in favor of revoking licenses for stuff that is due to negligence while driving.

Although, around here, suspending/revoking licenses accomplishes nothing, because people like my ex are proof that people will keep driving until they are behind bars for life for the irresponsible things they've done while driving.

Well after much contemplation and reflection I have channeled my rage into a productive manner, and Monday morning the people at social services, as well as my ex-wife, are going to have a buttload of paperwork to do.

Well, then, let's focus on the 'right part".
In the eyes of the law, because DrF has not fulfilled the rules of the support decree as they were set down by the court, he is considered a deadbeat, as nasty as that sounds.

The fact that he does give money for his child when he actually has it to give is probably a lot better than some of the sperm donors out there who could care less if their child is looked after.

As I said before though, lump sums once a year are not considered support for a child, as their needs are an ongoing thing.
The support is NOT for the mother. It is for the child that the man has fathered.

The way the custodial parent is behaving, or has behaved in the past is totally irrelevant to the court when it comes to making sure the needs of the child are met, and that the parent has enough money to provide suitable clothing, food and shelter.

Support is not a reward to the parent for being a model citizen.
It is for the child.

I've only been back for a couple of months, but I still checked in on this place from time to time, and I've read stuff you've written over the years, and stuff that people have written in response to you.
