Apparently a lot of people thought that when Cleveland Show came out, and MacFarlane's response was basically, "You know he's a rapist, right?" I'd almost prefer the Joe Swanson show...but then I'm a big fan of Patrick Warburton.

I do wish they'd get over the whole, "Quagmire and Brian hate each other" thing. Yawn.

The guy who plays Discord in the new episode of MLP.... is Q from Star Trek! XD I could hardly believe that when I found that out.

I don't think it would work as a series, honestly, but maybe he could stage a one-episode takeover of the Cleveland Show, with Brian coming down to kick his ass.

I really think MacFarlane & Co. under-use Claus, but then, Seth doesn't do the voice for Claus, now does he? I am really excited for new episodes next week, although I'm not sure when Bob's Burgers starts back, though.

I've seen a few episodes of American Dad while watching Adult Swim. I prefer Family Guy, but I'll watch it. I really like the fish and the alien.

After watching a bit of it ( God help me ), its more Power Puff Girls style than anything else. Vector animation. Giant eye to head ratio is nothing new in the cartoon world and has always been used for cute or innocent characters. Anime was just the first to use it on serious characters.

These are not serious characters. >.>

Unfortunately, I read the comments before watching the episode, and inadvertantly watched the whole thing with my perspective tainted by the alleged sexual tension between Rainbow Dash and Applejack. I wil assume this is how Bronies get started.

I did spot a Hitchhiker's Guide To the Galaxy reference though. Other than that, its fairly harmless fare.

blas, you should try American Dad. Fiance likes it better than Family Guy. We both love Archer, in fact, I'm going as Pam for Halloween! rawr...bearclaw!

I've gotten shit for years about liking Family Guy. It's "mindless bullshit" and blah blah blah blah blah blah.

Well, people with their moral superiority issues can fuck off. I love that show.

Nothing has been greater these past few months on lazy nights watching Adult Swim (except Saturdays, I hate anime). Nothing is more relaxing and entertaining than Family Guy, King of the Hill, Squidbillies, Aqua Teen (oh I'm sorry, Aqua Unit Patrol Squad). I could be out spending money drinking and being an idiot like most people my age. At least I'm enjoying myself for free.

I didn't mean you specifically. I meant that I've heard people say things about the series like "Oh, it's pants" who haven't even watched it.

Watched the first episode of season two today... and it's fantastic!

I wouldn't even know where to begin when listing the number of cartoons I watch/have watched and enjoyed.

Yu-gi-oh .. all of them from the original to 5d's.
    Young Justice.
Batman the brave and the bold.

That is a very minute example. Lots and lots and lots..but I am a big kid at heart so...*shrugs*

It just seems a bit silly to me to trash a series without even watching it, but then that's just my opinion.

Think in closer terms to movies like Toy Story or Shrek. Sure there's the upfront comedy that gets little kids (and adults as well come to think of it), but there a fair bit of subtle humor that kids just don't get but adults do.

Not to mention the fact that the cartoons now have actual storylines, plots and different characters. The original MLPonies, with a few exceptions like Firefly for example, all seemed to be pretty much the same as far as personality went. The only good thing going for the original series was that the villains were fantastic; tho there wasn't much indepth character analysis for them and you couldn't buy them as toys.

The new MLPonies all have separate, distinct personalities. They all seem like real characters, and the storylines are in depth and so are the enemies. There's also a load of songs for episodes. It just seems a bit silly to me to trash a series without even watching it, but then that's just my opinion.

You have to remember the original cartoon and its character designs were 100% designed to sell toys and nothing else. The storylines and characters themselves were awful. Beneath even the Carebears awful. So if nothing else they look like they have personality now.
