I know, I have seen some of those atrocities on syndicated old school TV shows.
My whole point of this thread, anything you see people wearing on Roseanne, Full House, Facts of Life, even Married With Children..........NO!!!!!!!

Oh my dog, I can't believe I didn't think of that one. YEEEEEESH, yuck, No!
I was watching some show on E! and there was a chick with a giant red bow in her hair. I can't believe any over playschool aged girl would think that was halfway acceptable, let alone cute.
It doesn't matter if they are the clips or bows holding your ponytail. It's fucking stupid. And making a huge comeback as bad as those thick plastic star/heart shaped sunglasses I bitched about on page 1.

I thought of this last night, but forgot to post it: Hair bows.
The first time I saw Gaga sporting one, I thought it was stupid, and learning that someone decided to market them made wonder
^-.-^

I can pull of cargo capris alright, and regular capris as long as I have even just an inch or two boost from a pair of heels or platform sandals (those would be more suited for the cargo capris because those look silly with heels, unless you're deliberately trying to look that way).
I'm pretty white and don't have the sexiest of bodies, but I have some really nice looking lower legs, the only problem is I'm short and curvy, so capris with flats wouldn't help my cause.
Actually, flats in general don't help me. I need a boost in general in height so that I look thinner and more toned, but I have to wear flats or tennies for work, so I just deal 5 days out of the week.

Capris visually cut the legs off at the least flattering part for most women. You have to have skinny calves to pull them off.
I don't wear them, although I wish I could. They'd be a nice option in the summer for us pasty people. It would be easier to slap some self-tanner on just your lower calves.

I don't mind capri pants on other people, but I can't wear them. I'm so short that they just look like regular pants that aren't quite long enough. I do wear capri pj pants, though. Love those.

Pedal pushers, shoulder pads, ra-ra skirts... all of these were eighties fashions which should never have made a comeback. -.-
Also; if you're going out and about, kindly make sure that your clothes are clean and fit properly. Nothing looks worse than a pair of trousers with nameless stains, or a food stained top. I don't mind if you have paint, plaster or brick dust on you, cuz you're a painter, plasterer or builder; that's incidental. But most people should be able to put on a clean pair of trousers and a top to go to the store.

Here is what a bubble skirt looks like
Here is what one looks like on a person
I could never get away with a bubble skirt. I have to wear something like this: an A-line skirt. And I like the skirts down to my ankles. I hate my legs (big thighs and calves - actually, even when I was skinny, I had big calves. Must be genetic).

What's a bubble skirt? Even the name sounds terrible.
Neve rmind, I googled them...meh.

Adding a couple more.
Shorts that are so short they may as well be underwear...in fact they may be underwear masquerading as shorts. Yes, I've seen this
Also, t-shirts or tank tops worn as a dress, those my dears are a long top, not a dress, pants are a must. I usually seen these worn without leggings or tights, and with 6 inch heels and a giant designer bag (or rather a fake designer bag) oh and those bug eye sunglasses.

I have sweat pants for the gym (I've had them for a couple of years, they used to be lounge pants or lazy night at work pants) that say "American Eagle" or "AE Outfitters" on the butt. I don't really care if people don't like it, I just think it's annoying when people walk behind me and read it out loud. Whatever. At least they don't say "Juicy" or "Sexy back" or other things that are out there. I didn't buy them just because it said that on the back, it was because they were flared sweatpants.
My other sweats have writing down the legs or up by the pockets.
My other peeve is people in general reading whatever is on your shirt out loud, especially if it just says "Aeropostale".

Man, ain't that the truth? "Juicy"? Really? Maybe I don't want to think about anyone's ass in connection with that particular concept.
I see that on someone's ass, it might as well say "kick me hard" because that's what I want to do.

I must add a new one after my foray outside today:
Absolutely anything that has words on the ass.
Especially "Juicy".

Don't like most jeans worn tucked into boots. If the jeans are not overly tight and the boots are flat and have some substance to them, they look okay, but for the most part, it's not terribly flattering for anyone.
I was doing it for a while, but I was doing it because I broke my toe and the SIZE TWELVE, box toed, fake suede boots I was wearing (the only footwear I could tolerate wearing at the time...bought for the sole purpose of accommodating said broken toe) looked asinine if I tried to wear them under the jeans. Wrong style and wrong cut.
I prefer boot cut jeans with boots or heels. The slight flare starting at the knee, with an unbroken line down the leg, adds height and a nice slimming effect because it does not make your ass the obvious widest point of your silhouette.
I don't want to see your bra straps nor do I want to see your thong underwear straps.
I don't want to see ANY underwear, while we're on the subject. Pull up your fucking pants, you look like you took a dump and nobody's changed your diaper.
I cannot stand capri pants. Hate them with a passion you cannot begin to imagine. I won't even wear pajama capris pants.
Pleated pants: Why?
Bubble skirts: WTF??
Someone said this and I shall repeat it. Clothing that is too small is not a great idea. All it does it make you look like ten pounds of manure stuffed into a five pound sack.
Do not wear bras that are too small. Cleavage should be vertical only. If your tits look like you're wearing four sections of an egg carton on your chest, your bra is too small.Last edited by RecoveringKinkoid; 04-12-2011, 11:39 PM.
