Until this thread, I've never heard of anyone who NEEDS to go outside naked or topless to "feel what the weather's going to be like". Sorry, but it comes across as exhibitionist, esecially when you know that people can see.
I would not care what kind of body my neighbor had, I would not want to see them standing naked outside. And regardless of what my body looked like, I would not stand naked outside where people could see. One I have some modesty. Two, I don't wish to cause needless offense* to good folks, or give jollies to the not-so-good people.
*Although the mere sight of me in public is enough to offend Panda, apparently. Because I am plus sized, I'm apparently disgusting and beneath contempt, no matter how well dressed, groomed, or bathed I am. And I don't spill over into people's plane or bus seats, thank you very much!

on this subject of being outside of your property ie the balcony nude or semi-nude yes, you were in the wrong. Why? Other people could see you, it bothers them. Its not your body that is the issue its that you are nude and not everyone is a nudist.
Having said that, should someone do that and I happened to see it I am not sure my reaction, not a bad one as I have been to a nudist area and not much bothered me there. However they had walls up so that there were no peeping toms OR the chance to offend anyone. But it was a clothing optional place and the only time nudism was required was in the pool and showering before and after entering the pool. (outside showers were provided)
the point still stands. though, stop showing off not everyone wants to see it and fine if you do but keep in mind depending on the law that is a called indecent exposure and can be a jail able offense.

That was my thought to. She's even mentioned that if a fat person was doing what she was in her OP they should be aware of their "condition" and cover up, but non-fat people would be just fine and dandy out there in nothing. It's hard to understand because you seem to be giving non-fat people a pass for doing things that are "wrong" simply because they're not fat.
I'm curious as to how she speaks to people in person. I mean Panda do you go around telling all the "fat" people around you off because they're fat? I'm genuinely curious.
Also, "fat" or plus sized people aren't necessarily more unhealthy than a skinny person. There are plenty of healthy people that would look "fat" to you I'm sure.
What exactly should everyone look like in your view of the world?

I don't usually pick peoples posts apart, but let's examine a few things in this post for a second.Originally posted by Red Panda View PostFat people affect my life and everybody elses. They raise healthcare costs, get tasty foods banned from resturaunts, they keep doctors and paramedics busy with things that are not a danger to healthy people, produce noxious odors, squish into people in tight spaces, overflow onto other peaple's seats in theaters, planes, busses, ballgames and other areas, they damage furniture, and many other things
'They raise healthcare costs...' And smokers, alcoholics, drug addicts, auto accident victims, and anyone else who's been in the hospital for something a little more severe than a minor stomachache don't?
'...get tasty foods banned from restaurants...' That would be the bailiwick of 'healthy living' nuts, not fat people. You notice how most of the people screaming about how unhealthy fast-food is are the ones who want to force people to have the same diet as they do?
'...they keep doctors and paramedics busy with things that are not a danger to healthy people...' 'Healthy people' being anyone who's not fat, I take it. Never mind that obesity is only one of the factors for the chances of heart attack (the others being minor things like high blood pressure, smoking habit, high levels of stress, the list goes on and on here). And if you're trying to make the joke I think you're making here, skinny people can choke on food too.
'...produce noxious odors...' Set foot in any homeless shelter and count the fat people. I dare you.
'...squish into people in tight spaces...' Sweetie, there's people with ideal BMI for their heights that do that just to be dicks.
'...overflow onto other peaple's seats in theaters, planes, busses, ballgames and other areas...' See above.
'...they damage furniture...' Odd, my girlfriend's got twenty pounds on me and all of our furniture is still intact. The last time a piece of furniture got broken, she'd thrown a grabby drunk into a table at a bar her friends took her to.
Seriously, you're not doing much to help your case here.

So that skinny person that got on the crowded bus with me, taking up two seats with their legs up on one and bumps into me, squishing me against the next person....the smoker that causes the company to spend more on health care for....the person that complains so much to corporate that they get a food they don't like banned from a restaurant....the children that jump on furniture and damage it....these people don't affect anyones lives but fat people do?!?Originally posted by Red Panda View PostFat people affect my life and everybody elses. Panda, honey...just shut up already! We know you hate fat people (for reasons we can't understand) and we see that you are somewhat self-centered by this post. We get it. You can stop now.
I am beginning to see that you thrive on attention and this forum is a place for you to get that attention. If you did not need it, you would not go out in next to nothing or nothing at all and get upset when others don't want to look at you. Or, in this case, don't want their spouses to look at you. I would be pretty disgusted and pissed off if one of my neighbors did what you are doing, regardless of what they looked like. I was raised that people do not go around outside of closed doors and draped windows in the nude unless they are don't know any better or are in such a deep need for attention of any kind that they will do anything to get people to look at them.

... Like... being self-centered on people's weight?
Their being fat has no affect on your life.

Him watching me doesn't affect me in any way. Why should it?ut do you really want someone secretly watching you, however brief your balcony romps may be?
Unless they possess some sort of disease that cuases them to face my house and look up I don't see hot it would be possible for them to have to look at meDepending on how your balcony is situated, and such, they might not be able to help seeing you out there, even if they don't want to

"Gross" is in the eye of the beholder, really.Originally posted by Red Panda View PostIf I were gross I would cover myself. I'm not fat but if I had some sort of rash or skin disease I would wear something that covered it.
I'll admit, I personally wouldn't be offended if some hot chick came outside nude, but I can understand that others might not be as tolerant as I am, meaning that it's just not appropriate.
I have no love for prudes, but I have to side with them in this case.

Depending on how your balcony is situated, and such, they might not be able to help seeing you out there, even if they don't want to. I know I wouldn't even consider going out on my balcony like that, because it's in plain view of a parking lot across the street, and there are usually kids and my landlord out on the lawn. Regardless of whether you think they just shouldn't look it is inappropriate if others can see you and have a problem with it. If my neighbours made a reasonable complaint about something I was doing I would do my best to change that behaviour, because it's the polite thing to do. You apparently aren't concerned with having good manners though. If they don't want to see it then they shouldn't even look. That isn't even the issue. The issue is this lady is insecure about her husband and thinks I should change my behavior to accomadate her.
