You don't know for certain you haven't attracted the attention of more than two people. You only know about these two because they came to you about the situation.Originally posted by Red Panda View PostI think if I were attention seeking I would do something that would get the attention of more then two people. I would probably make up stories about all the criminals I have foiled or something like that.

You obviously haven't read many of my stories.
The amount I've stopped is very small to the amount that gets away.

I go out with whatever I happen to be wearing just like before. So since this discussion has been going for a while now are you still going out there naked every day while we are all talking about it?
I try not to but its hard to not look when a person parks their motorized cart so it takes up the entire cookie aisle or if you have to leave the sidewalk to get around them.Good point.
I find it interesting that RP uses the 'If they dont wanna look they can look away' line when it comes to people looking at HER, yet if she sees a 'gross fat person', all hell breaks loose.
RP - maybe you should follow your own rule when it comes to fat people. If you don't like it, just don't look.

She wants to show of her body in the guise of checking weather, she's more then free to do so.
She just needs to know that others will take offense, and likely take action eventally.

Good point.Originally posted by HYHYBT View PostOne thing I don't think has *quite* been addressed: the "if they don't want to see then they don't have to look" argument doesn't wash, if for no other reason than they don't know not to look until it's too late.

Wow...yeah I'm in one of those areas where you can wait 10 minutes for the weather to change...especially in the transitional seasons of spring and fall. And I ride the bus/Max, so no car to stash anything in. But I have a backpack and have learned to take an umbrella if there is any chance of needing it, and I an wear layers of clothes to adjust for temperatures. I may stick my head out to see what the weather is but I really have no need to do it naked.
I'm all for being able to do what you want in your own home...and I feel you should be able to move around naked in your home if you want. But the balcony does count as the public since you're outside and I have to agree with everyone else that being naked out there is not a great idea. It's just not the place for that.
So since this discussion has been going for a while now are you still going out there naked every day while we are all talking about it?

How about this? Weather channel makes a desktop icon that appears in the start bar. It's a little blue box. It has a number in it for the temperature. It flashes yellow, orange, and red depending on cautions/warnings/etc. If it's low, dress for colder weather. If it's high, dress for warm/hot weather. If it's blinking and you can hear rain outside, dress for rain. If it's blinking and there's no rain, double click on it for the warning. Then you don't have to annoy your neighbor by prancing around naked on the balcony.

How much time do you spend outside, anyway? If it's an office job, what's the weather really matter? If it changes or rains, just dash to the car, roll up the windows, and ta da. If it gets colder or hotter, AC or heat. Only seems to be an issue if you work outside, and most jobs that require working outside have a standard uniform (construction, server for outdoor restaurant, etc), so the weather is not actually a factor in what you wear.

There is that. I wasn't aware 1 jacket and 1 umbrella took up that much space.
There are quite a few places all over the country that have the saying, "If you don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes. It'll change." The majority of people have learned how to be prepared for these inevitable changes without having to go outside naked to check, and we don't keep entire wardrobes in our vehicles.

Let's see, unless you drive a SMART there should be enough room to have an umbrella and a light jacket and still have... THE WHOLE CAR left for you to use for any other cargo or passengers you may have. That and, while I have no experience with the weather where you are, in Utah it is not unusual to walk out in the morning and have there be a few clouds in the sky and zero percent humidity and by afternoon there be a monsoon. Checking the weather is no guarantee that you won't need the jacket or umbrella anyway.Originally posted by Red Panda View PostI just think it makes more sense to check the weather then to keep umbrellas and other clothes in my car in case the weather is bad.

There's really nothing wrong with exhibitionism, so long as all participants are consenting adults.
Being in public nude, there is never consent, and not always adults.
And yeah, this is exhibitionism. There's no excuse for "checking the weather" in the nude. That's just an excuse.

Heck, underwear and holding your arms across your breasts would suffice.

^This. Seriously, why would putting on a light robe be such a hardship? I wear kimono-style robes as regular clothes sometimes, and it takes no effort or time at all to wrap one around you enough to preserve modesty. Now, taking pains to arrange it neatly, putting on sashes, belts, or other accessories takes more time. But even I don't bother with all that when I'm only wrapping myself in the thing to cover my nekkid self.
You don't have to keep all your clothes in your car, or fully dress to go outside. Just throw on a light cotton robe, and maybe keep a folding umbrella in the car. Heck, a folding umbrella takes up hardly any space at all, even if you threw in one of those folding plastic ponchos for emergencies, it would take little space.

Of course it does. What doesn't make sense is having to be naked or almost naked to do so.
