I'm prolife, I'm pro living my life to the fullest before I even consider having children. If right now my contraception failed and I got pregnant it wouldn't be the end of the world as I have a loving longterm partner and a stable home environment to bring a child into.

If I had gotten pregnant whilst in my teens, was raped or the pregnancy put my health at risk I would fully consider all my options including abortion. Its my life and when it comes down to it sometimes we make sacrifices we'd rather not make. I'd much rather access to information and contraception was universal however mistakes and failures occur. No woman should be forced to have a baby she does not want.

I agree. The foster system is an overburdened mess as-is. Nobody should be forced to bring unwanted children into the world just because of a loud religious minority's poor interpretation of the bible...just because a woman doesn't want to give birth doesn't necessarily mean they don't want children at all.

Some Christians believe that people who don't believe the way they do are going to hell anyway, so...

Would it be in poor taste if I made an "Anti-Life" bumper sticker with a picture of a Dalek?

Nah with Dalek's you could easily replace one of their apendages with a turkey baster or giant dildo and alter their catch phrase to IMPREGNATE!

an image of an arm outstretched Cyberman and the phrase DELETE seems a bit more invasive.

Nonononono! Cthulhu! He eats everyone - no one will be left behind. But as an infamous Virginia license plate says: Give him the kids first! (As an aside, Virginia DMV revoked the plate as a few people thought it promoted oral sex on children - but that's a separate rant in a separate thread).

I guess I'm lucky because our PP doesn't have to deal with protesters. it is also located right across the street from one of the high schools.

What our PP does is promote safe sexual practices and has even reached out to the kink/BDSM community for assistance in teaching safe practices for that as well. The association between PP and the kink/BDSM group is new and in the process of forming but people on both sides are all for sexual education and the promotion of sexual safety and sexuality in general.

There are some respectable pro-life groups out there that set up adoption houses and what not.

I've seen a couple college students 'counter-protest' the nutbars in front of the PP clinic (that can get interesting) and even try to educate them to no avail.

The abortion clinic I mentioned upthread is a few blocks away from an elementary school; the building itself is very nondescript and the only sign of what goes on in there are the nutbars out front with their disgusting posters in full view of small children.

Hmmm... if they're within view of a school with disturbing graphics, report 'em to the cops for pornography near kids... see if that might ruffle a few feathers.

                    I'd totally do it.

This was 15-ish years ago, but the locals picketed the PP clinic right out of the town where I work because they "don't teach abstinence." My hubby was working with the public access station at the time. When the interviewee said this, he put down the camera and asked, "Don't you think that, by the time someone goes into Planned Parenthood, that it's too late for that? Your high school has the highest rate of teen pregnancy on the Iron Range. Do you think teaching abstinence is going to cure that?"

I wish he had kept his calm and said that on camera, then played it on-air.

Besides the fact that it would not to a thing to prevent the transmission of diseases?

How many women do you know who would trust a man with an erection when he said "Sure, I've taken my pill." Hell, a lot of men can't be bothered to cross the room to get a condom.

What I remember OB telling me is that several have been tried but every time they get to the human test stage there show to work a little to well. We can make you sterile, problem is we can’t reverse the effect. Not exactly the effect ones looking for. After all the ideas to fix you for an allotted time period, not indefinitely.

With women there’s different plumbing, so apparently its easer to temporarily fix us.

Some? Almost all Christians believe you must have Christ to be saved from damnation, which means at least to some extent if you don't believe as they do you are going to hell

I'm willing to bet that these are the same people who think fossils are just tricks from God trying to test our faith... at least in this area they are.
Trying to teach them anything is impossible, they'd argue whether gravity exists if the Bible said otherwise

I actually haven't met a man who wasn't willing to take the time to grab a rubber (which, I will admit, one of the good advantages of being married, knowing each other is clean and not having to worry about it anymore... not that I'd have a problem wearing one still if it were an issue).
