As to the weather thing, these things can help you know what the weather is without going outside.
Problem solved.

Just want to get a feel for your definition of "Fat" before I continue on my line of thought on the matter.
Somebody is fat when they are over 350 pounds.

As much as I do not agree with Red Panda's view on overweight people, I do think that it is dumb that every thread she makes, it goes back to the Fat People thread. I thought that this thread had potential for a good argument, but then it went waaay off track before I had a chance to reply. This makes me a sad McD.
To get back on topic...
While I think the human body is beautiful and should not be feared, I also believe in following the law. What we need is a societal over haul of the views on the human body as something beautiful and not just purely sexual.
What I do find funny is that this thread is called "Intruding Prudes", however, I see no intruding on the prudes' part. You come out on the balcony, which is now considered public. They are not peeking in your window or coming into your house.
My grandparents check the weather using something called Weather Underground on their computer. It is basically a live feed of the weather.
As for dressing for the weather, I live in Northern IL and go to school in WI, so I know how it is to have weather that changes constantly. I normally dress in a pair of pants, a shirt, and then I have a hoodie with me. I have an umbrella and a hoodie in my trunk, which takes very little room.

My husband is fat. Good thing I'm a chubby chaser; something about cuddling up next to a big squishy teddy bear of a guy just does it for me. I happen to think he's sexy. Just sayin'. He's completely healthy. I wish *I* was as healthy as he is.
His mother is even larger. Like, 350+ lbs. Yet, somehow, she has men falling ALL over her. She eats about 1 meal a day; her weight is due to other health factors that cause the weight gain, not the other way around.
To each their own, as far as attraction goes. *shrug*

Well, then you just hate fat people. It's not because of their healthcare cause, since drug users and drinkers do just as much, yet you never sprout how much you hate them.

If you could read you would notice that I agree they also cause problems but it has no stance on how I feel about fat people, an issue other people keep bringing up.

So Red Panda... still no retort about the drug users and drinkers and their effects on healthcare.

Little Debbie, no. For murder, it would have to be, at minimum, an Entenmann's raspberry danishPeople do NOT murder for Little Debbie cakes.

I notice you didn't make a retort against the point about smokers and drug users.
If you live in a rural area or small town without public transportation its very hard to get by without driving.

Who/where are these people you keep pointing out that eat all the boxes of Little Debbie's and put mayo on everything? There are a lot of overweight people in my family. They don't do that.Originally posted by Red Panda View PostDriving is needed. Eating all the boxes of Little Debbie's a store has is not.

Trans fats are not harmful because they make people gain weight. It is a dangerous misconception that one has to be overweight to suffer from coronary heart disease or high cholesterol. Trans fats are a major cause of these disorders.Originally posted by Red Panda View PostThings like trans fats have been made illegal because of fat people
I'm not necessarily supporting a government ban of trans fats, but I'd hate for someone to assume they're safe from heart disease because they're skinny. You're not. Eating crap may not make you gain weight, but your pulmonary system will still pay the price.

I've known lots of overweight people, hell I've admitted that I am overweight, and thus am beneath contempt- a disgusting subhuman in Red Panda's eyes. And neither myself, nor any of the overweight folk I know have EVER "Eaten all the boxes of Little Debbie's the store has", or anywhere near close to that. Just where does red get the idea that all larger people MUST be pigs who eat everything in sight?
And for the record, I've seen skinny people who move with far less grace then I do. I may be chubby, but I handle a mean sword. Or two of them. I've seen slim people make hopeless fools of themselves trying some of the things I do.
Honestly, Red- you've got one hell of a hypocritical mindset going on. You spew such hate at those of us who aren't slim and presumably as "perfect" as you. How would you like being made fun of? Accused of having eating disorders and being told to "eat a damn sandwich" the next time you decide to let it all hang out on the balcony?
