I find it interesting that this facet of the debate is still going. This is, what, the third or fourth time a topic has turned to Red Panda's opinion of fat people and how she perceives them affecting her life? Isn't it obvious that her opinions, no matter how logical they may or may not be, will not be swayed nor more accurately explained at the insistence of any of the members here?

I agree that the topic of whether one should be forced to cover up or not in this circumstance is an interesting one, and I see the alleged hypocrisy Red Panda's stance in this matter in comparison to her stance on the overweight, but I'm getting kind of tired of the repetition.

I believe people should be able to do what they want as long as it doesn't adversly effect people in any way. I think excessive peircings look dumb but I just don't pay attention to people with them. The only way I can ignore a fat person blocking half an aisle of the grocery store is to not go shopping ever.

But if you can do whatever you please, and others should just avert their eyes, shouldn't everyone else have the same rights? Even if there isn't a disability involved, isn't it up to them if they eat too much food and don't exercise? I mean, if you can flaunt decency laws, what grounds do you have to suggest anyone else do anything.

Let's get them all rounded up and sent to the recycling centers to be turned into things useful for the young and nubile. To hell with the fat people who need them! I have no problems if they are used by somebody whose disability is somehting other then putting mayo on everything. If somebody has a legit need then they should use them. If somebody just hates moving then they shouldn't use them because they need the excersize anyways

German law is (surprisingly) simple in this regard: however I walk around in the confines of my own home is my own business, because nobody else is supposed to be looking into my windows, anyway. Meaning, if I want to light up my apartment at night, with all the blinds open, and walk around buck naked covered in green jello, there's not a damn thing anyone can do to stop me. However, once I set foot outside on a balcony, terrace, porch, or in the garden, I can be hit with an indecent exposure charge. And likely will - though in German, it's called "Exhibitionistische Handlungen" (literally, "Exhibitionist actions"), and can only be committed by a man. Fancy that; RP would be off the hook here, and from the other posts in this thread, the double standard should suit her disposition.

Punishment for the crime is up to one year in prison, or a fine (more likely).

I try not to but its hard to not look when a person parks their motorized cart so it takes up the entire cookie aisle or if you have to leave the sidewalk to get around them.
